When 12.7 is added next year, Germany will have something, it’ll probably be ICE with better AMRAAMs if the As or Bs aren’t OP.

Comparing Mig19S to F4S and Comparing F4F İCE to F-15 Eagle is like apple and orange, you cant force F4S in Mig19S while you can force F-15 into dogfight in F4F at least (even tho F4 will loose %95 of the time).

Handover implies Germany owned it, the never did, it was more akin to going on a test drive at a dealership with the salesman sitting beside you. You can’t subsequently claim years later that you once had a Porsche on the basis that you drove one once for 15-20 minutes.
The photos being banded about of that F-15 and the similar photo of the F-20 are straight up stupid arguments… particularly in the case of the F-20 as it would be objectively inferior* to the ICE it is being proposed to succeed. *(Worse radar, slower, fewer of the same missiles)

OK then what is so important about 12.0 specifically?
eventually adding better weapons to an outdated airframe stops being good enough, the F-4 will have been dragged from 10.0 to 12.7, that is too far, like the SU-25 eventually the flight performance is just too bad and no ammount of missiles can make up for it.

İf you’re smart enough to use your R27’s in right situations they always get you kills.
Sure R60M’s are not as good as Aim9L’s but thx to Mig29’s amazing flight performance you can solve that range issue.
Does Mig29 need R73? No Should be added with current performance? Why not.

Yes, Britain’s best aircraft is a Harrier, Germany’s best aircraft is a MiG-29, that MiG-29 so long as it get’s R-73s could be competetive until 12.7, the Harrier will not, and the F-4F ICE and Tornado F.3 will still be support fighters even with AMRAAMs, so ignoring your weird obsession with Swedish Gripen exclusivity i think my statement was perfectly reasonable.
