No… it doesn’t. The glove vanes actuators we disconnected and the doors bolted/welded shut in already delivered F-14A’s to reduce maintenance requirements since they offered minimal value. They were still physically present on newly built F-14A’s leaving the factory, they just weren’t used.

Just F4F ICE will become heavy enough and will not be able to in the BVB.

I’m not asking for it, I’m saying there’s nothing preventing them adding it without Aim-120’s right now because that wouldn’t actually be unusual… whether they do or not I don’t actually care. Fact is the presence of the Aim-120 in game has no bearing whatsoever on whether the F-16C is added.

The F-5C is moving from rank 6 to 7 without any chances.

for the first iteration of the F-4F ICE it will probably only have AIM-9L or M if they are added, however further down the line it will likely receive upgrades so eventually yes it will carry the IRIS-T, just not straight away.

I’m thinking gen 5 ends with rank 9.
Late gen 4.5s being part of rank 9 as well, with most part of rank 8.
Fifth gens are probably going to be spread between rank 9 and 10.Otherwise rank 9 would be quite congested.
They did the same with Mirage 2000-5F as well so I would not be surprised at all to see Gripen with only sidewinders.
This way Sweden will be fox-3 ready as well.
There aren’t many gen 4.5s & gen 5s.
F-35 will be the only gen 5 for most nations.
And AESA Rafale will be France’s only late gen 4.5.
I mean USA and USSR’s tree could get pretty congested if they add all the prototypes of fifth gen jets and 4.5 gen but it wouldn’t be the same for the others as they dont have that much 5th gen stuff to add.

I could definitely see that happening, it would give Sweden a 12.0 for now in a similar vein to the F-16A Block 10 with only AIM-9L and the some decent A2G armament as well.
