Might encourage them to finally start making the game better if it sees decline, which is sadly the point we’re at.
The game will slowly fold into itself like a card house, one wrong breath and it all crumbles, but then they would have to do a greater effort to revive the game
The community hated night battles when they were in lower BRs. That’s why it’s now limited to BRs with vehicles equipped with NVDs/Thermals…
All they had to do was make night battles optional, and they did that with the night battle update.
It would be fine now to have night battles at any BR, though maybe 7.0+ would be more reasonable since NVDs aren’t very available below 6.0
There are Vehicles for Germany like the Sd.Kfz.251/20 that have a 60 cm infrared spotlight
8+ (battles with 9.0+ as top BR) would be more reasonable. At 7.0 - 7.7 there still aren’t many vehicles with NVD. For example Brits have like 1 or 2 maybe?
Even if night battles were optional, they would be very rare, because from what I remember, players really did hate them, so I believe there wouldn’t be many ppl willing to opt in. Ofc it’s just my opinion based on my memory of the past and “feeling”, so I may be completely wrong. Maybe the players’ sentiment did change, but tbh I don’t think so…

By NVD I mean passive NVD, not active IR spotlight. I can’t imagine anyone sane to use a spotlight to reveal their position while not seeing much themselves… :)
The infrared light was “Invisible”
A vocal minority and content creators, more like. But because content creators said it bad for their videos, now it’s opt in instead of opt out how it should have been, because the community follow them as though anything else is heresy.
Same situation with the fix to solid shot and correction of APHE.
