Somua SM or IS-6?

It’s difficult choice to make.
Somua SM has autoloader with decent pen.
IS-6 has heavy armor and good pen.
What do you guys think?

Doesn’t the IS-6 have a year long reload? Choose which one best fits your playstyle if so.
Go for either fast firing, nimble, but poorly armored tank,
or heavy, slow, really well armored tank with a nuke round, that tends to face HEATFS quite a lot anyway negating the use of its armor.

I’d say Somua. It’s more meta, and the capability an autoloader gives you to absolutely destroy a flank cannot be understated. And it’s armor will occasionally bail you out. Plus France 7.7 is still a very capable lineup.

IS-6 is still good, but you need to play it more carefully owing to the reload, and the armor is only really consistent in downtiers (And only against some tanks). That reload sort of hard limits your potential.

Wouldn’t pick up either without having a lineup to go with it, however, and France isn’t the easiest grind.

When I play against the IS-6, it always loses, when I play against the Souma, it always loses…

I’d personally pick the souma, but that fits my playstyle. The IS-6 is sluggish and slow, and if you show your lower front plate, just give it up already.

Either one you pick, if you see a Strv 103, go the other way, because you will die.

Understandable. I’ll go with Somua SM in that case.

Yeah, i can handle the low armor, after all i regularly main the Bkan 1C, but i wasn’t sure about both choices Somua SM and IS-6, Thank you for telling me this information Aegis.

Depends on what tree you’re going to grind, but from a fun perspective and in terms of how good the vehicle is, I’d go for the Somua any day of the week.

You might be surprised with the Somua’s armor. It’s got almost the same frontal hull protection as a Tiger II. It’s admittedly somewhat rare to fight tanks firing AP/APHE, but almost all of them will bounce if they hit your hull.

The turret is softer, but even then it’s not hopeless. It’s all weird angles and overlapping plates, and the turret neck, being the flattest and most inviting target is thick enough to bounce M82 shot out of the American 90mm.

The armor isn’t something you can rely on, even compared to the IS-6, but it will likely bail you out occasionally.

The Somua SM in some areas has better armor than the IS-6. The turret is a volumetric nightmare and the only real weakspot is the LFP.

IS6 is cringe, Somua at least look more stylish.

Easy choice between those two

Thanks for telling me this, but i am not grinding American tree at the moment

Got IS6 and br is too high for it. Constant uptiers make his armour paper tin.
