Some IFVs with only a automatic cannon as an armament for anti-tank need a buff.
Here’s a list of IFVs that needs buff-
CV9035DK, CV9030FIN, VBCI-2 (MCT30)(I know that there is no crews inside the turret of this vehicle. However, due to the big height of the body, there seem to be extremely rare places for this vehicle in maps to take hull down safely.
Also, the height where the main gun is located is not high enough, so the main gun’s minus vertical guidance value is the same as M1A2 SEP V2(-10 angle), so it doesn’t have an excellent minus vertical guidance value for main gun.
If this vehicle was not hard to ride in ordinary maps(or places), then a lot of people already purchased this vehicle instead of waiting for new French premium vehicles.)
Strf 9040B&9040C (These vehicles only can load small amounts of ammo((hard to make kills over than 3 in a short time)) to ammo ready rack and have too slow speed to fill the ammo ready rack.
Also, they have demerit that those IFVs have to go to the captured point to fill fast the ammo ready rack.
If Gaijin make those IFVs can fill the ammo ready rack fast, then they don’t need another buff.)
The vehicles I mentioned have the following problems-
The caliber of the main gun exceeds 29mm, but the RPM is slow,
Their main gun can’t destroy 100% of the main gun barrel of enemy MBT with one shot,
Those IFVs have no ATGM.
So such IFVs must have more reserve crews in the spaces where the infantry can on board.
I’ll explain you more detailed reasons.
If those IFVs encounter a ordinary MBT with thick front armor in front of it,
if the enemy MBT doesn’t make a mistake, the IFV hard to make effective resistance, So IFV will be destroyed first.
And main gun barrel can easily be aimed only at close range.
If IFV have more reserve crews, the survivability of IFV will be higher, and that will make it more likely that IFV would reach the side of enemy MBT and have more possibility to attack the side of enemy MBT.
In addition, some MBTs of 10.3 or higher are impossible to penetrate due to the thick side armor of the turret(For example, Leopard 2a4 or M1 Abrams), or an absolute majority of MBTs have thermal imaging optic for gunner.
And those IFVs I mentioned were not originally designed to kill MBTs, so it’s hard to kill enemy MBTs.
However, buffing the armor, firepower and engine of those IFVs is absolutely unrealistic.
Also, if the BR of IFV is lowered, other ground vehicles of 7.7 to 8.3br will be too painful due to slow turret rotating speed + no thermal imaging equipment + no main gun stabilizer.
That’s why those IFVs need more reserve crews.
(If MBT is easy to kill enemy IFVs, and the opposite is difficult, the difficulty of killing enemy IFVs should go up a little bit.)
If IFV has more reserve crews, the survivability of that IFV will be higher.
If you think this isn’t enough, we can make those IFVs can replenish 2 crews in capture point, or IFV can send one reserve crew member in IFV’s space for infantry on board to an ally who has lost his crew and get the research points and the silver lions.
(If this happens, IFV will be able to perform a role similar to that of combat medic.)
If the buff goes a little too far, the reserve crews in their infantry transport space moving time a little longer to the positions of the commander, gunner and driver’s seat.
Or, even if there is a reserve crews left in the IFV’s infantry transport space, we can immediately judge that IFV is dead when there is only one or zero crew left in gunner, commander, driver’s seat.
