That’s why I mentioned it being relative to how long the match takes. If you’re genuinely fighting on in a match where people ODL, the system would have to factor your performance relative to battle activity and how long the match has progressed. It can’t be a perfect system but it would by a hell of a lot better than what we have now.
Perhaps, but I can see it being exploited anyway since the botting problem has not been solved yet and there are thousands of bots getting banned every banwave so far.
This will never done for two reasons :
One : Gaijin hates punishing players has punishing players makes them leave
Two : For constant ODL to not be reasonable to do they would need to either do things that punish long time customers, or do economy change that bennefit the player
And I personally beleive it is a bad idea for multiple reasons aside from just money wise :
First : ODL is a concequances of other issues, not an issue on it’s own, trying to punish player for odl is like trying to drain your house before fixing the hole in your roof
Second : ODL is not that big of a deal and doas not warrent splitting the community in multiple pieces which will completly ruin the match making for a quite minor reason
Third : When doas leaving become acceptable? Is 2 death leaving problematic if you got 0 kill and died in less than 1 minute each time? Is 1 death leaving problematic if you got 9 kills an decided this game was not savable?
You have no idea what you are even reading. I wrote “right” which means the proper way to play not what u think is fun or not.
Yeah and you clearly have no idea what I wrote. I don’t care if I play ‘right’ because I play what I feel is fun
Why are you arguing with yourself
or at the very least a punishment for not using all available backups first.
I guess a way around this could be similar to what they have tried implementing at low tier by selling a group of premiums to be used together rather than one premium vehicle alone. If they created the same groups for higher tiers you may see more people flock to them and build line-ups. It wont solve the issue, but would reduce it.
Depends, if you are talking about top tier and you are playing for say Russia, then you are CRAZY:)
If any other tier, I concur.
can’t even spade a tank without someone complaining about it
Solution is to make the game fun to play
Lineups are not the problem. Players at low tier quit battles too - and they likely have plenty of backups.
It’s the maps, matchmaker and the teams you are randomly assigned to that are the problem.
Until these issues are addressed, some players will ALWAYS leave battles early.
There’s no real way to outright solve the problem of players leaving, so incentivize players to stay. Let’s say 20% of your team left within the first 2 minutes, every remaining player should get a +20% boost to their earnings at the end of the match. The more people that leave within the opening minutes of the match, the better the rewards.
Incentivizing is definitely the better way as opposed to punishing.
Indeed, incentivizing is preferable, but that doesn’t address the core issues with 0DL, which in my case includes map repetition, map assignment and victory conditions (such as conquest, single cap).
Again there’s no 100% fix for it. I completely agree those are factors and should be addressed, but there needs to be something to reward the players who stay. You think Gaijin will ever look at any of this?
For years, and long before I started playing this game, Gaijin has had these issues brought up by players and have done nothing substantive that I’ve seen. Case in point: ground-only PvP in arcade, realistic and sim battles which has been repeatedly suggested to add to the mix and not take away from anything else. They absolutely refuse to add this option. So yeah, they know about it.
Correction: they’ve reduced the cost for repairs as in the past, players would end up with so few SL they couldn’t spawn back into games, so Gaijin does take action when it affects them (anything to do with premiums, they’re all ears).
And how much should they charge for a package from 10.0 to 12.7?
As long as it’s an intermediate or low TT, it’s fine, but for the top BR it wouldn’t work.
