I will flip if it finds its way as a premium for the USSR,
Not only historically does it open a can of worms but also gives russia access to western tech
Really hope this is for the next update.
From the photos, is it just the 2 seat version with the wingtip missiles, or is that something that can be added to the single seat too?
Hopefully its the most upgraded version of this aircraft when added (countermeasures RWR, full guided kit with R60M and all the ground kit)
i opened this expecting a prop +1 i will never play it
This was an early version, a single unit, as far as I understand. It also had a different optical sighting station.
I’m not sure the mounted R-60Ms could actually be fired from the wingtips.
It is nice to see it, yes, but I am the opposite of happy.
I at least just hope this is a Poland/Czechia situation where some stuff gets added, but not as a whole sub tree.
If it goes to Russia, Russia does not need a Yugo/Serb tree. They have the entire USSR, and can get other better fitting nations like Algeria.
Honestly, I think it will be in the US tech tree, if there is no Yugo one… Makes no sense for it to be in the Russian one.
I’ll be disappointed if it goes to the USSR, but whatever the case is, we finally have our first properly Yugoslav (or rather Ex-Yugoslav) vehicle in the game.
Maybe Italy because of proximity to the balkans and the fact they already have Romanian version of the aircraft. It wouldn’t make sense politically though
Any other nation makes absolutely no sense
My hope is that it is gonna be the beta test vehicle for a Yugoslav tree (copium)
France as a placeholder can make sense for the reason of Yugoslavias longstanding technology relationship with france. On the orao for example some of the avionic equipment is french made with also the fact that Yugoslavia on several occasions were to buy french aircraft (ended up just getting flight helmets)
Any excuse to keep the aircraft out of Russia TT
I do live in the Parallel universe where Yugoslavia bought the Mirage 3 and 2000 alas they didnt in the end
This was exactly what I was thinking as well.
We can only hope but sit with the knowledge that it will fall on deaf ears
Although I would rather see a separate Yugoslav tree, it only makes sense in the USSR TT. Nowhere else.
I really think they should have added J-22B instead of a Serbian aircraft because now the Serbia situation opens a lot of stuff because technically it would be more realistic to go to Russia now that I think about it (because Serb)
At least like big Tito (diabolical username) said it could go to France if it was Yugoslav
Opens up a problem that if USSR is getting serbian kit or god forbid former Yugo nations kit (M55S) then Serbia has just purchased Rafales. Gaijin now has an excuse for it in the Russian TT
Had that UN for many many years from my JNA militaria collecting and reenactment days
Russia will have Mavs now and other western ordnance on the J-22
i kind of would of rather of seen the G4 and have less of this drama
No it does not. The Orao was made in Yugoslavia for Yugoslavia. It only had a very few parts which is reasonable as this could be seen in every other nation that has some ties to USSR (although both hated eachother)
This one ESPECIALLY, the M1A, makes even LESS sense because it replaces those older Soviet systems such as the Yugo copy of the Soviet RWR with their own, and everything on it is almost entirely independent (exceptions being some bombs and such. Not even air to air missiles like R-60s are seen on the M1A specifically)
USSR is the USSR, they can have everything there. Belarus is still there for example. Other outside nations like Algeria also exist. They do NOT need Yugoslavia or ex-Yugo nations.
I dont see problem with that. USA have already for example R-27R.
Which other TT then make sence according to you? Of course, if we dont consider adding Yugoslavia itself, which would be best in my opinion.
I mean they should not have that either but thats another thread
Russia mostlikely about to get the VRVZ series or Ordnance which they really dont need
