The extreme high prices also bring a false look of exclusivity and value much like the overly high prices of an apple phone or laptop, while a cheaper alternative (played by the freeloader pack) gets held as the poor man peasantry option. Its making fun of the high price = quality fallacy.
Comedy is subjective, you may not find something funny but others probably will. Its april fools day, not meant to be taken as a serious thing or as part of a financial strategy. Only as a nudge and a wink towards a thing to be made fun of

The DOGE Kid pack is good value if you are a regular buyer of GE - you’d pay $456 for those 100k GE if you got them 25,000 at a time.
So the 90 days premium and up to 2 vehicles makes it better still.
