I hope as a lower battle rating assault vehicle, free for use only costing few more spawn point, just like attack drones. As the earliest models of the AC 130 is poorly armed against other planes, it will be a very niche addition to air battles and pretty much useless too.
I’d kill for an Avro Vulcan
It would be even more useless than the F-117, like, it’d have to be like 3.0 in air RB and 6.7 in grb… zero point in adding and would only prove to be an eyesore for low BRs

it doesnt have the arms to do much besides make APCs nonexistant, and even then whats stopping people from shooting the giant, slow brick in the sky with sabot from a million miles away

In fact they have said they are looking at strategic bombers, but possibly with an entirely separate game mode just for them - 'cos they would be less than useless in the game right now.

Wasn’t even too useful, harriers did most of the work credited to Vulcan in the public eye 😿

But tbf tho, We have bombers with no offensive or defensive armament so it still has more propose in general.

Would be awesome to see, but no other nation will have an equivalent vehicle. US is the only one who has this kind of aircraft at the moment. If anything they can treat it like drones do, but still won’t make sense for every nation to use a AC130 gunship.
I did read China, Russia and Japan planned on converting some planes into a similar kind but no real progress was made.
Best to leave this plane for User Made Missions.
What I personally do is use the G8N1 or G5N1 Japanese Bombers like an AC130. Switch the control from Mouse Aim to full-real control, making my plane go in circles while switching to gunners to shoot at light/open top vehicles with the 20mm cannons. Not really successful but it does look really cool.
