So is DX12 crashing never gonna be fixed?

well i did that and went a day without having issues, now im having issues yet again

Absolute joke, done everything, all these issues didn’t occur for me until 3 days ago with a 320mb steam update, i’ve cleared cache and shaders 3 times, i’ve deleted the whole game, removed HQ textures, it still crashes. i play mostly low settings with a 6750XT and get around 270 to 350 fps, i play with a capped frame rate of 144fps. i only crash when i play anything above 8.0. how is that even a bug !?!?!?!

Issue is so annoying because i found that spots in Sim battles disappear at dx11, at dx12 works fine. i was digging, trying everything. I thinnk they wont fix the issue because it is not their priority to make a game playable with “newer” technology. So i propose to fuck it.

I did 1 thing, type “-driver:vulkan” command, at WT steam settings. Game opened a little bit longer, i check graphic settings, and DX12 was on. of course there is no option for using FSR, XeSS, etc. only FXAA, TSA, TAA are available. I read that vulkan is replaced with DX12 and cannot be used but i fuck it. Settings says that i am running DX12, No crashes. It is not a solution, it is temporary.

I think its very useful, sad its only for Steam, I had a classic launcher.

Since they started preparing their 20 yr old engine to integrate latest in Ngreedia gimmicks ,crashes ,crashes and more crashes …from artifacts on the screen to constant flickering on some maps ,to DX problems and so on.
Not to mention single digit fps on some planes on take off that lead to timeouts

DX12 worked flawlessly for me with Max textures installed up until that last patch at the end of last week.

Switching to DX11 fixed it but ate ~20FPS. I tried everything. Bios, GPU firmware, Drivers, Verify files, Game reinstall, min graphics settings.

On a side note, Leviathans broke VSync. I used to use it to cap my frames so they wouldn’t go above 240FPS and tear beyond the FreeSync limit. Can Gaijin give us a proper FPS limiter? Sure, NVidia has a nice driver-side FPS limiter that works perfectly, but AMD offers no such option sadly.

It seems the devs have been messing around with graphics code and broke some stuff. Really hoping for a fix soon.

The more players that send in files for them to look at the better.
I also recommend to go to this report: ( Community Bug Reporting System ) and clicking “I have same issue!” , the more players that send in files as well as click that button the more attention the issue is likely to get.

This is a blatant issue. Since last week’s update, every user with an AMD GPU running DX12 experiences this crash in Air Realistic Battles mode. This isn’t some driver problem – your programmers clearly messed up the game files. Fix this quickly, devs. Stop with the half-hearted attempts. 5861ad55-ea69-40f9-b5df-6ac6e8b16931

It seems like AMD GPUs have way more issues with this than Nvidia. Everyone who answered Morvrans report had an AMD GPU. And it got Accepted. So maybe it’s gonna get fixed soon.

But I can’t play Steam version anyway because it pregenned the empty acc for me and didn’t allow me to log in to main acc, even after I disabled auto login (it would’ve worked in client). So I just wrote a negative review for the Steam version.

Game frozen and crashed since the new patch.
tried both DX 11 and DX 12.
No idea what happened.

Why it so hard for you guys to have these bugs FIXED?

I’m not part of development and have no way of contacting the DEV’s.
Game Masters handle in-game chat and name bans.

I’m just spreading information best i can to guide players through steps that might fix the issue (it has worked for some) and if it doesn’t i link to where it can be reported so that the DEV’s can then find and fix the issue.

Sadly it took a long time before anyone created an actual correct report for the issue so there hasn’t really been a way for the DEV’s to even test the issue until like 2-3 days ago when the report was forwarded. And even then i don’t know how their priority list looks so i have no way of knowing how long it might take them to troubleshoot and then fix the issue.

That is likely the case yes, especially if they happen often and for a lot of players (which seems to be the case here). I think any bug that is game breaking and widespread gets priority (but i do not know for sure as i have no contact with them).
