Just realised something.
F-106 is at 9.3 in SB. I believe all other supersonics are at 9.7 in SB (F104, lightning, mig21 etc) that aircraft is going to be really hard to counter in SB
Did the Su-7 and Yak-28B not move down in SB?

Su-7B is 9.7. Yak-28B is 9.0, though minimally armed

I feel like the best counter to the F-106 in sim will be the 3 inch metal frame of the canopy obstructing your frontal view…
Perhaps, but still doesnt change the fact that almost all supersonics get a 0.3 BR increase in SB. Heck, so did any subsonic aircraft, but the F-106 with 4x AAMs, IRST and supersonic speed, is at 9.3?
Especially when you consider multiple subsonics got increased from 9.3 to 9.7 as well in SB for no apparent reason
Yeah, I see the F-106 pretty much as sidegrade of the F-104C, so it should have the same br as them, but personally I think it won’t really matter because it will really be nigh impossible to use in sim without frontal visibility considering the gun is the main weapon of the plane.
Harder sure, but I dont think impossible. Also, ID someone, track them with IRST and fire an Aim-4, they wont see it coming and wont defend like they can in RB
