What if the crew/pilot voice lines changed depending on the skin of the vehicle?
Right now, the voices are always based on the vehicle’s original nation, regardless of the skin you use. So, if you throw, say, an indonesian marine corps skin on your soviet BMP-3, your crew will still speak Russian. But wouldn’t it be way better if they spoke Bahasa Indonesian in that case?
How it could work:
It could be a simple toggle option in the audio settings where you can choose whether the crew voice lines switch based on the skin. If you use a skin that corresponds to a nation with available voice lines, the crew would speak that language. If no voice lines exist for the skin, the default vehicle voice lines would still apply.
Examples:
- If you’re using a romanian skin on a russian BTR-80, your crew will speak Romanian.
- If you put a finnish defence forces skin on a german Leopard 2A4, you’ll hear finnish voice lines.
- If you’re using an Algerian Air Force skin on a MiG-29SMT, you’ll hear the pilot and radio voicelines in algerian arabic.
- If you’re using a Republic Of Korea Air Force skin on a American F-4E, you’ll hear the pilot and radio voicelines in hangugeo (south korean).
It’s a small change, but I think it could really enhance the experience for a lot of players. Plus, it’s totally optional, so no one who prefers the default voices would be affected!
