how do i make the gunsights static? when i zoom in, the sights change size
a bigger issue to me though, is just how cartoonish it looks. i don’t want my range scale elements to move when i zoom. i want it to stay aligned with the crosshair.
how do i turn this off??
here is a much better example of what i’m talking about. i have not changed the range at all, and when i zoom in, the entire range scale is messed up.
ironically, this isn’t even a user sight. this is the old T-62 sight war thunder added as an “example” sight back when they first introduced custom sights to the game.
so even the official in-house custom sights don’t work now… please help :(
i’m going crazy, nobody is talking about this. i don’t even know when this became an issue. i’m googling stuff constantly but finding zero solutions. my own topic is the only one popping up. i don’t know what i should be googling even
nobody??? tanks are literally unplayable for me right now. i don’t know what to do. none of my sights work. i honestly don’t even understand why the game dosen’t have specific sights for tanks already. they model fighter aircraft cockpits, but won’t even give tanks a unique sight??? i’m beyond frustrated. i have a ton of boosters that are going to run out, and manually switching every single sight back to default will take hours.
why is this happening? why is nobody else having this issue???
why does yours work? also, you don’t have a range scale?

Do you have a custom sight for the M18 US that has the scale?
(Edit - That entire section of the game has changed a lot recently… So many options now)
I think they changed to varying font sizes when you zoom in just to ensure that you can see the text regardless of the zoom level.
Also bare in mind, my sights are from my gun, not the gunsight.
okay, so how do i change it back?? its literally ruined every one of my sights. also it just looks stupid?? it makes me feel like i’m playing some sort of sci-fi shooter…
i do, it has the same problem. its not as noticeable in this vehicle, it ranges from gun to gun.
also, even setting my sight to “default” it still has a range scale
i don’t see it in those screenshots. here, i just reset mine to default. it has the range ladder on the left.
so how do i make it so it stays stationary when i zoom in??? i’ve tried basically every setting in the game at this point. i have been trying to fix this for literal hours and have found no solution…
