Description: The SIAI Marchetti S211 Preserie was an Italian trainer jet of the 1980’s. The Preserie version was composed of three prototypes. The S211 was designed in 1976, and a model of the aircraft was presented for the first time at Le Bourgeois in 1977. The first 1:1 scale mockup was presented two years later in the same place. The mock-up was also fitted with some of the components of the real aircraft for marketing. The first rolled out from Vergiate in March 1981, and it made its first flight in April of the same year. On October 3, 1981, the second prototype was ready to take off, and the third, the last one, made its first flight in 1983. The three Preserie units were used by the company for testing everything related to the aircraft, and they were also used for marketing at various international airshows. The Trhee Preserie units were decommissioned in early 2000 by the company. The first and second prototypes (the I-SITF and the I-SIJF) were donated to the Italian museum Volandia. Here, the second one was repainted with a desert camo, but the first one remained unchanged, and now they are both visitable. The third prototype (I-TFSI) for some time remained abandoned until it was recovered and exposed in the museum Piana delle Orme in the city of Latina.

Why it should be in the game: It could give to the Italian Air tree a good air to air/ air to ground aircraft in a br range from 7.0 to 7.7.

This can start the Italian Jet Attacker line even though there is a chance that this Jet may be added to Tier IV instead of Tier V due to being comparable to the Strikemaster Mk.88

I guess S.211 Pre-series would be 6.3 or 6.7 BR in rank 4 or 5 before F-84G and not bad early light attack aircraft
