Why isn’t the Shturm-S sight on the launcher? Every other ATGM carries has it there… That thing literally only needs that to be decent
because it is a dedicated vehicle for the missile with the gunner sight separate from the launcher to be less bulky? its not like the btr-82AT with an infantry fired atgm that magically has gunner control with nobody manning it
What are you talking about?
By not mounting the sight on the launcher it can begin the reloading cycle as soon as the ATGM is fired otherwise it would have to wait until the ATGM hit before it count retract the launcher.
I don’t see why that matters, the BRT-82AT’s main gun is the 30mm while any other dedicated ATGM carrier has its sight inside the launcher… maybe exept the Striker and Swingfire but they have it on raised masts
I’d prefer that honestly
Because they have sight around there as well.
Also its not every atgm carrier. Khrizantema suffers from same issue and br change solved nothing. Atgm keeps dropping too much trying to get on line of sight.
Again… move the sight
The sight is literally where the sight is on the actual vehicle though, that is the case on all ATGM carriers, the sight view is from where the sight is.
Not really, the IT-1 has it on the launcher for example
I don’t have access to the vehicles to check, could you post screenshots to show what you mean?
Oh, that doesn’t mean the sight isn’t coming from gunners sight or launcher. Some Missiles are designed to be launched at an upwards angle due to them having drop for the first dussin or so meters. Some missiles drop but aren’t angled upwards. I’m like 90% sure it has to do with design and the angle of the launcher and not where the aim camera is placed.
The Udes 33 does the same:

Not really the Shturm-S flyies straight right away like the IT-1… the sight is just off fir no reason, at the same BR it’s the BMP-2 missiles that drops (even uf it shouldn’t) tho it doesn’t actually show it there
