Or rather you might sustain your speed but you are below ideal speed for fighting.
F.1 is not very efficient that slow.
To be fair, if you’re that slow, the target’s probably far worse off. Generally takes dodgy play on both parties to get into that situation.

The f1 is one of my most used planes mate.
The mig23 can either choose to sweep its wings and it ill catch a mirage, however it also bleeds an astronomical amount of speed as it essentially turns it into a delta.
Or it can sweep its wings out, and mot be able to keep up with the mirage.
you seem unable to grasp the importance of being able to control the engagement
Ive spaded the mig23M and MLD both are significantly worse to fly than the mirage F1

I can keep up with an F1 with a mig 23 if I’m controlling the wing sweep throughout the engagement, but it isn’t particularly pleasant and it’s very easy to get third partied. Though I would also note, mig 23 has arguments that can be made for it really belonging at 12.0, hindered mainly be compression of the BR system though

I think you will find I somewhat know what to do.
The response is that you overestimate the F.1 at low speeds.
Especially in comparison to other aircraft.

Well, I owe you an apology. I was mistaken about the similarity between the F1C and the F1C 200. They are actually the exact same aircraft (the boom can be mounted or removed, which causes the size difference). It is therefore normal to have the same armament on both aircraft.
Regarding missile operational durations, the Mirage F1C had Magic 1s for 10 years, then Magic 2s for the next 10 years before being retired from service. To say that it only had the Magic 2 for a small part of its service is therefore false.
For the aircraft you want, I would suggest an early Mirage F1C with Magic 1s and R530s. I will do a suggestion next week
