shhh don’t let gaijin know about that tank, its absolutely absurd at 9.0
The Merkava Mk2D already has a meta round for its BR.
what do you mean by meta round? it’s obviously not even the top 3
if composite was meaningless at that br then we wouldn’t be calling the shir 2/chieftain mk10 hull down monsters.
and by the vextra logic, it went up and gained a new round.
and can you please stop using the word ‘‘crying’’ that’s not the case.
All at 60 degrees. Steel / cos 60.
M413/DM33 has 468mm of pen.
OFL 120 G1 is 454mm.
120mm DM23 has 472mm.
L23 has 384mm
105mm DM63 has 494mm [Olifant Mk2].
All on relatively equally mobile platforms around BR 9.7.
3BM22 sits at 382mm
XM578E1 has 326mm.
If you’re going to cite under-BR’d vehicles you only prove my point they should move up in BR.
The major downside isn’t the ammo, it’s that there are no tech tree 9.7 tanks to take with it in a line up. Gives the AV-8C and AH-1F a 3 vehicle lineup unless you have the XM8 Bufford also.
depends on your conception of ‘‘under br’d’’ vehicles.
it’s now at 10.0 and theres nothing to take with the 2D.
Sabra while it’s under-BR’d, Merkava Mk2s, Gal Batesh…
mk2s arent under br’d.
sabra would only go up if there’s a decompression, so this is not the case.
like, why would the sabra be the same br as m60 ambt and the 120S?
Firing an extremely similar round.
Also Sabra is currently 10.0.
AMBT is also under-BR’d, might be fine though it do have some turret armor.
extremely similar round is your only argument?
ambt has more mobility, m60 120s has a 5 second reload.
They’re all M60 hulls.
The AMBT is an M60 derivative with a better power pack.
Sabra is an M60 derivative with a better turret.
120S is an M60 derivative with a better turret.
My bad I by what I was reading I thought this was about the 2B in US tree. It went up up also.
yes, i know, but this is not the point here.
Mobility is fine, and for me it’s viable enough really. It is one of its detriments yes, but like i said a BR around 10.0-10.3 would be fair if they buffed the reload on it. Compared to the 10.7 MBTs, it could reasonably be considered balanced there with its superior firepower yet inferior mobility. (On something like an Urban map it isnt really that noticeable or needed)
Heavily disagree. They may be initially based on introduction, with better rounds being added later if needed, but literally it’s the same thing here. The DM63 105mm round is nothing special, and adding it to the Merkava Mk.2D wouldn’t change anything at all or warrant a BR increase. It’s currently found on the Magachs at 9.3 without any issue, so BR relation is of no issue when it can and should be placed on a 10.0 vehicle that’s hardly any better than the 9.7 variant with the same round.
I agree! I had no issue with them going up unlike some others. But then again those are probably the same players who will complain when the Ayit finally goes up in Air RB… lmao…
The Merkavas survivability is, different I guess you could say. Its armor is angular and trolly, but not strong in terms of resistance to rounds unless it’s being trolly. Another thing to keep in mind that contributes to its survivability is its spread out crew, making it quite hard to kill one with only 1 or 2 rounds if you don’t know where the crew is at. The armor is still underperforming historically as it stands even lol, especially chemically.
I disagree
The mobility on the merk1 is bad more so on the 2d
And it has avarge fp
Maybe if they give it the better round and reload it would be ok but its unneccery
It was fine at 9.7 which is allready a strech when u get uptierd to 2a4 and t80 with top tier mobility the good thing is that 9.7 didnt get alot of upteirs and mainly downtiers
merkava stronk. merkava best. merkava blessed by Yahweh.
What I love is that gaijin does that with tanks, giving out bullets depending on what interests them instead of using realism. How is it possible that the latest Magach have the M426 and the Merkava 2D, which would be more modern than those Magach has an inferior bullet, complete nonsense.
And now the Merkava 2D has its Br raised to 10.0, without having the M426.
