The Ki-64 was a japanese prototype for a mid war tandem engine contra rotating prop heavy fighter. The ki-64 was a japanese prototype that was powered by 2x Kawasaki Ha-201 coupled liquid-cooled V12 engine, 1,750 kW (2,350 hp). These engines would give it a top speed of 430 miles per hour at around 5,000 m with a service ceiling of 12,000 m. it could reach this altitude in about 5.5 minutes making it a relatively good climber. its power to weight ratio was 2.17 kg/hp; 4.78 lb/hp giving it good acceleration for its weight at 11,244 lb when fueld up and given full ammo. it was armed with 4x 20mm ho-5 cannons and 2x 12.7 ho-103 machine guns making it a very well armed fighter. The plane would be piloted by one person and had a length of 11m and a wingspan of 13.5 m. the wing load was 182.1 kg/m2 (37.3 lb/sq ft). The placement of this plane would be either in the interceptor line or in the middle fighter line with the ki-61 and ki-84 series of planes.
