Okay so, I find it a little strange that most nations have to share their flagship fighters with other nations, good examples are the FA/18C, the Gripen C, and The F16C aswell. But Russia doesn’t have to share the SU-30 at all. However, let’s say we get a patch day where India (Britain) and Malaysia (Japan) get the SU-30 as subtree vehicles. Now I know giving away the SU-30 may be unfair, which is why in this hypothetical update, Russia will be receiving a new Rank 8 Premium, the SU-27UB, it’s a trainer variant of the SU-27 with similar armament to the tech tree version. (The regular one not the SM) would this be a good idea? Any opinions?

Look, the further into modern day stuff we get the more nations eventually start sharing common aircraft. That’s just the way the world went.
Adding another premium at high BR for any tree is, in my opinion, just making high tiers more cancer because the premiums will always be balanced in a way to cater to pepegas. ( The balancing department is defo not a lie, trust)

Okay interesting, because I made this same post on the warthunder Reddit and a Russian main started crying saying “Only Russia should have the SU-30” and going by his logic, only America should have the hornet, and only Sweden should have the gripen and vice versa. I added the premium as a precaution so Russian mains don’t start kicking and screaming.

When a person say they “main” a nation, that’s an instant sign of complete cluelessness and a massive lack of game knowledge. ( Probably also reflects on their stat sheet. Keep in mind that one doesn’t count for new players)
But also, you making this post on here probably makes zero difference to reddit. Sure this is the “official” forums but the pepegas are still there.
And uhh, you’ve seen how this game goes, I hope I needn’t explain that one.

Yes, only Russia should have the Su-30, because western nations shouldn’t get eastern vehicles shoved into them for no reason. Brit mains don’t want it because it’s not British, and Russian mains don’t want their unique aircraft to become less unique.
No one wants more premiums except people to lazy to get a lower BR premium.

As a russian main i like this idea i always been a fan of the Indian variant of the su30 i wouldn’t mind if the rafale got added either considering the Indian airforce does operate a few su30 and rafales
It would be ridiculous for a nation that’s main plane is literally the su-30 to not get it just because it’s “russian”. Su-30mki forms the main fleet of the indian air force, there’s 0 reason for india to not get the su-30. Also, other nations like china, su-30 is literally their main way of getting good cas in their tech tree. j-16 carriers weapons that are too advanced for the game, su-30 with its plentiful number of kh 29s will be china’s best cas option that’s fair and balanced until they add a future f-16
