No. The Ariete P at the same BR is objectively worse in every regard except for firepower, where it has the DM33 round available. Unless you want the Leo 1 moved up to 11.0 or 11.3, I would highly recommend maybe avoiding giving the 2A4 DM33.
I’d hope so and an increase in BR to 11.0. The 2A4 is all around a very good tank but its firepower is quite lackluster especially compared to the similar Ariete and Vickers at the same BR. DM33 is also the primary historical dart of the 2A4 especially for export users many of whom only ever operated DM33 and never DM13/23. Additionally this would help allow for decompression of the 9.3 BR because there’d no longer be the argument of “oh x vehicle can’t got to 9.7 then it would face Leopard 2s”. The 2A4, at least the German one, would actually be in a better place in an uptier to 12.0 where the 2A4 should be on your team vs 11.7 where’s there’s no TT MBTs higher than the 2A4 itself (plus it would have reasonable firepower to actually be able to penetrate the enemies it faces). And finally a bump up would also leave more room for the introduction of the earlier Leopard 2 models that Gaijin skipped completely.
And on a related note M833 for the M1 and also 11.0.
So really it’s a win/win/win/win/win and there’s only really the status quo bias as an argument against
yeah + 1 ad dm33 and put in 11.0 germany have only one mbt in this br or put puma ifv with spike in 10.7…
L26 is a better shell than DM23 in almost every way how is it “arguably worse”?

While having worse mobility, gun handling, reload speed…
reload speed only when having a loader and an ace crew, mobility forwards is similar, reverse is bad ye.

Leo2A4 should absolutly get DM33 but stay at BR10.7 as long T90A and T72B3 Arena are at BR11 with 3BM60.
Ariete (P) needs to be lowered to BR 10.3.
