Should I go for the J-34 or A32A?

I don’t want to get the J29F, seems redundant

I am personally skipping everything and going straight into the J32B, since I already experienced the Hunter in the UK tree, and the A32A looks like a worse version of the J32B. It was fun grinding in the A21RB, it’s one of my more favourite planes.
The J34 (Hunter) isn’t too bad, and I would suggest it over the A32A since you will have the J32B in the end.
Maybe the A32A isn’t bad either, but I have not tried it yet.

In terms of performance:

1: J32B. A solid overall plane, great thrust, decent agility, and unlike the F-100, decent energy retention. Suffers in uptiers due to being only barely supersonic and without flares.
2: J34. A better Hunter, with more thrust and AIM-9Bs. Surprisingly solid.
3: J29F. No weaknesses, but no strengths. Makes it kinda forgiving, but also quite difficult to do well in.
4: A32A. A J32B with substantially less thrust and no AIM-9Bs. Avoid.
