Out of the CR2s it’s one of the best, I cannot tell you how many times the Iron Fist APS has saved my life considering I’m not that good in GRB.
the black night is a very nice tank, aps will save you from alot of mistakes on long range maps so you can be cocky abit, but thats pretty much all it has, even aps isnt enough to combat the lmur spam.
Its round is very mid, often failing to effectively pen angled russian side era and being extremely trolly. Its mobility is bad for toptier and without good positioning, youll be caught lacking. Its very notable on CQB maps where you have to maneuver alot.
But its a break from the fast speedy tanks and aps will save you alot, but you have to be patient with it for it to work
i always abuse it when i get the rare long range map to trade shots, the fact that it can intercept darts too is very nice
I literally get excited when I get Sands of Sanai or any other desert map, the Black Knight is so good for long-range sniping. Along with the fact that it has smoke charges surrounding the entire tank makes it easy to defend against Helis combined with the LWS
The APS is very good and its got some decent optics upgrades over the other CR2s, but at its core, its identical to the base Challenger 2 which quite frankly should be 11.3, maybe even 11.0 and not 11.7.
So its an 11.3 tank with APS at 12.0.
Couple with top tier compression… It can be a chore to play
Too bad i rarely get any decent long range maps to effectively use it, and british tanks really suffer in CQB type maps. The 4 directional smoke is a very underappreciated feature imo.
It sucks that they removed the LRF from the chally 3, that and DM53 were the only reason i bothered to research it, now i barely use it
I literally just researched it as they removed the LWS and decreased the engine power, so I never went through with purchasing it with SL, pretty much going for the 2E instead for the better mobility. And yeah it’s a massive shame that Gaijin are so hyper-focused on fast, CQB gameplay that top-tier tanks just… aren’t designed for.
I spaded it, and then removed it from my line-up. Id rather have the faster reload and at least a little armour over the extra pen from the DM53.
Such a shame. Heres hoping the CR3(P) isnt DOA
the 2E is a gamechanger for the british tree, finally a tank that isnt fat. I image its how the italian players felt after getting the 2a7hu.
But it seems to be more fragile than the BN. I keep getting breached by shots the BN wouldve tanked, not to mention the commander + loader are always getting knocked out.
The speed is nice though, gotten some great games the other tanks wouldnt have gotten

i wouldve removed it for the 2F but after using the DM53 on it, L27 just doesnt feel the same.
T80’s will eat an L27 for breakfast and still be able to escape the engagement, whiles a DM53 in the same shot killed them instantly
its a shame they still havnt accepted this report, here i was coping that they were waiting for tusk force to drop before implementing it, but it never came

I forgot I had played any Chall 2, tbh. Apparently I’ve played 50 games in one with a 35% winrate. Must have tried Chally 2 out at a bad time in the top-tier matchmaking for Britain. When they add some more viable non-SPAA support vehicles for Britain top-tier, so that it’s not just Chally 2 spam, I’ll go and fix that winrate.
British tanks are solid until you reach 11.7/12.0, so if you’re not interested in just playing the very top tier you should be fine.
Smaller vehicles with less weight can have the same armor effectiveness as bigger ones with more weight, for obvious reasons. I find their mobility to be a much worse con than lacking armor.

Scimitar jet is like baby f104 and is fun and I surprisingly did okay with the venom but the other aircraft in that rank are just bad. Lightning is okay and I think the 9.7 harrier is good but everything past that I havent really played and I think most aren’t too good
Should I continue british or stop?
