I wish people can see my user made skins that I downloaded from WT Live, I mostly use historical skins that looks much better than ingame camo’s, some of them actually are on sale at Gaijin Market.
But I can also see how this can cause huge problems due to certain camo’s that’s offensive and not suitable for younger people.
Panther2995 is right, how are gajin/forum witlive modertors arent doing against anything. i bet around 80% of WT live skins arent suitible for small kids under 18.
Loving weeb stuff is totally fine in my book since I’m also huge fun of anime’s and characters but as you mentioned some stuff can cause issues for children so its best to stay this way.
Do u have same problem wirh sight using costum made like old time u could just download it and play with it but since the update i cant download fromm wt live or using it
I would welcome if GJ would add more of the Historical and Semi-Historical skins. The Fantasy ones in don’t care. Never downloaded them, never used them nor bought them.
They already profiting enough from current market skins, what they need to do is to implement most wt live historical skins in order gain more customers.
Bit late to the party here, and my first forum post ever but I wanted to touch on this topic. As far as I am aware, Gaijin is using the live.warthunder site to find and implement historical camos for aircraft and tanks (ships too? idk). The criteria they look for in those user generated camos is currently unknown. Why not just create a site and database of their own for users to upload camos to? Have any upload initially scanned/curated by AI that has been taught to detect content that would break TOS. Whatever passes the initial check, gets verified by a moderator or admin and if they clear it as well, it gets uploaded for use on the site by anyone who wants that camo for their tank or aircraft. Skins/camos created and processed following this would be able to be seen by all players if they have the downloadable content setting set to on in their options. Would alleviate the concern of potentially offensive content being seen while giving users more content that doesn’t affect gameplay. I am aware that this method may cut into revenue generated through existing skin sales, but I believe I have a workable solution for that as well. If a user wants this content, sell it as a monthly service that costs GE. They make the money off the back end via GE sales. Another option would be to only have it accessible to premium accounts. If your monthly “sub” lapses, you lose access and are stuck with base camos that are unlocked via the existing system.
Just some thoughts, sorry for the wall of text and reviving a thread that died a month or so ago.
