The only way we are getting BOL fixed is weapons like IRIS-T on airborne platforms, frankly. If they cared to fix it, they would have as they kept killing Gripen. I’m not sure it really matters if the platform has a lot of rails or not, as long as it’s on any even vaguely effective fighter, it’s only going to be resolved with the introduction of missiles that would require it getting resolved assuming Gaijin model the seekers properly.
I think Python 4’s could justify it and make Israel mains happy, as well as better AIM-9M’s
Win win
Maybe, but aircraft like the Tornado, Viggen and Shar have suffered enough and its annoying as hell on the Typhoon
Forgetting a plane aren’t we 😿
F-14B?
:P
(yes this is a sentence)
Yeah F-14B going through it at 13.0 with no 9M
Haha
That is shockingly optimistic.
Ever since BOL got nerfed the game got:
- ARH missiles (+MP reduction)
- More AA systems
- 4.5 gen fighters
- Intermediate gen of ARH
- multi-vehicle SPAA systems
At this point, it becomes explicit their lack of willpower on fixing them.
MP reduction as well. That was probably the biggest change imo, as chaff is now a requirement
At least that thing has a not horrendous pylon count for its br.
It’s not optimistic. I just think the nations that rely on BOL rails will underperform so horrendously that if they want to continue with selling things in those trees, they will have to be fixed.
you get 8 pylons total at 13.0
2 of which can only take sidewinders
Which is 2 more than the Gripen which also has 2 that are Siderwinder only and realisitcally, the other 4 are sidewinders or A2G. It doesnt even get its centre A2G weapons for some insane reason
Great, try 6, 2 of which can only take sidewinders.
It’s also a heavy fighter
@Fluffy_Bucketles
There are tradeoffs, and F-14B only gets 9L when it should have 9M at 13.0
Spite.
Yeah probably. That definetly feels… Petty…
If nothing else, means you cant kill 1x base if you ran full A2G
Swedes shouldve gotten napalm
Or y’know, just give us the bloody central pylon.
Eh ig
It really is. Sparrows guidance have been toned down ever since the times of the AIM-7F/Ms vs R-27Rs, and considering how silly their guidance tends to be out of nothing, the missile really should’ve been fixed prior to the ARH era, but it wasn’t the case.
You’re considering them a huge piece of the pie, when Gaijin at best worried to correct the HSTV-L out of the introduction of its chunky brother, the RDF/LT (they used a similar gun system, that’s why they corrected it).
BOL premium vehicle when Gaijin? :P
F-15A late (I think F-15A had limited ability to use AMRAAM?) at 13.3 with BOL for $85
