Should Centurion Mk3 and MK2 back to 7.3 and 6.3 now?

After Gaijin nerf the APDS again, Centurion MK3 and MK2’s experiences are pretty awful, especially for Centurions MK3, their armor is not good enough, and also the bad mobility, even worse than some heavy tanks, the only reason they can such a high BR is due to the STAB

APDS hasn’t been changed to my knowledge.
Still performing as I expect it too.

The probability of shell shattered has increased a lot

Why should 2 plane stab MBTs see WW2 vehicles?

Do you know the pt76?

Leave them where they are but up max br to 12.0

and what vehicles should go there? they are only a handful of vehicles at 11.7 how would you balance that? not to mention spaa

PT-76B is an exception due to its poor ammo; Centurions aren’t nearly as bad.

We’re basically at the cap of what we can have for ground, and with the exception of antiradar missiles we’re about as advanced as air to ground ordnance gets. In my book we could easily just have tanks at 13.0 and decompress the brs the entire way down

Hi, the centurions are my most used tanks now that I’ve got the whole British tree, you will find me almost only in the 7.7-7.3 BRs. You are wrong entirely.

Centurion mk2 can body an enemy team solo on maps like Karelia because the APDS will punch through most things easily and the STAB is unbeaten, its armour is also invulnerable to tiger 1s so downtiers are a point-and-click adventure with near zero risk.

The MK3, action X, 5/1 and mk10 will pen damn near anything at their BRs anywhere (however the Somua SM is only vulnerable to the mk10s 105mm as the 20pdr has slightly too little angle pen) they only struggle with the more modern vehicles which spamfire and dismantle you.

A lot of things from 7.7 and up can pen you, but if you take 20 shells at most you almost never get an ammo explosion and you are survivable enough to handle a hit or two.

the only major issue the centurions have BR compression and that they are late ww2- early 1950s tanks which often face things from 20-30 years later, looking at Gepard specifically that thing is way too low, but you will usually still win the fight if you know terrain and the tank itself.

the centurions are one of the best balanced tanks in the game, and no shell shattering hasn’t been made more common, you’re hitting bad angles

Unfortunately, your centurions kills amount even (mk1, 2 and 3) combined don’t add up to as many as I’ve killed with a strv81, and I know more about the changes in APDS than you do. I’ve been using these APDS since the UK joined the STRV81 and I know how well they performed at one time. So pls don’t teach me how to use that, According to your record, I even believe all of them need to reduce the BR.

The shell shattering happened on tanks with two layers of armor, even tanks with tracks as external protection, you use 17 pounds apds to test that, such franch tanks or IS2.This never happened a few years ago.

Now it’s not bad, after all of the HEAT has overpressure, and it’s reload time has been buffed to 5s. By the way it has APHE as well, but people always only take HEAT.

btw you have the apcbc as well.

I started playing in early september last year, not going to have a scoreboard of a huge huge magnitude. nor would I spend thousands of hours playing the same premium warship endlessly.
if you’re aiming where shatters are more likely you’re aiming at the wrong spots, multi layer armour increases odds of a shatter, however there’s always a weakpoint even on the most overpowered of premiums.

I think this complaint is because your most used tanks things like the CV90 105, RU251 and PTL02 are APFSDS and HEAT slingers, you arent used to early discarding sabot characteristics anymore so assume they behave in the same way.

if your complaint about anything has IS2 within it, that’s not the fault of the shot, that’s the IS2 checks being a glitchy mess, the 17pdr apds is usable for quite a while, even T55s can be defeated by it by hitting the turret. random shell shatters arent too common either, don’t make a mountain out of a molehill

How many chances I have to use the Centuion to shoot on the side armor? and how much TNT the apcbc has?

how many chances do you think that a pt can use it shitty aphe on the side armor, it isnt like it even have much he either? at leats the apbc of the british have decent pen and can be used on the front…

That’s the issue, you haven’t experienced the time when the APDS was OP.

So if you have check my record, have you ever check I have used the M551/76 or any WWII tanks?Experience is gained, as are cases, and you’ve experienced so few of them that you’ll complain to me about lack of understanding

It happens any of time, you never know when it happened, even on panther or tigers, due to some reason, even you pen the armor, the crew members will just like drop into a paint can.

Too many times, German suffers always give me a chance to do that, especially for panthers and tigers, use hit to stop them, and the second one use APHE shot side armor, or I can directly use APHE, most of the time these German tanks can’t notice their 2 sides, pt76’s mobility is okay when the enemy has the German team.
For British, especially when I was centurion, unless is mk1, I won’t choose APCBC, they are almost same thing now. The centurion mobility is horrible, even worse than some of heavy tanks, how can expect to use it to shot the side armor.

do you realize that it is as fast a tiger 1? it just have a better hp ratio but the transmission is the worst, specially for a light tank

not knowing something as it once was doesn’t mean its bad now, just less exploitable like when fox was 7.0 and you could exploit how shit 7.0 german teams are

the 76 Sheridan has full stab and really high pen at a br where nothing else does while being fast so I’ve discarded it as its not in a regular position for APDS tanks, and ww2 tanks other than a couple don’t have APDS so don’t feed your argument

panthers are very easy to kill in Centurion, aim for the right of the hull and the driver, gunner and commander are red paste, a follow-up shot for if you didn’t get the ammo, I assume you mean Tiger 2, hit the right turret cheek, you kill gunner, commander and quite often ammo rack them as I’ve found and laughed about while in squads
