[Shop] [Video] Senrai Maidens x War Thunder: Video Premiere and Exclusive Packs!

That livery is directly dedicated to Kate, which is a fictional 2d character and having boobs in a bikini for a PFP is more than enough.

Having this in a game like WT can’t be excused.

Lol, cry more. What about the WW 2 pinup girls than?

But you just implied that this livery has anime boobs, not that it is dedicated to a fictional character.

Moving the goalpost too much?

God forbid, a w*man in swimsuit in my videogame.

West has fallen.

It can, and its going to stay.

Read my initial comment to him about liveries. Never said you need boobs on them.

Not being able to differentiate between 2d and 3d. Only one of those is and can be real.

West indeed has fallen.

It’s staying because some are willing to dish out enough money to buy AAA games, just to get some anime decals in a game that’s trying to sell itself as realistic.

no idea how to react to this

Doesn’t matter if they (Wargaming) have some contract or not, Gaijin creating their own IP to sell anime stuff shows that they likely don’t want to do collabs with actual anime IPs

I just didnt want to quote you fully, you never know when mods go trigger happy.

Anyway, I dont want to make further offtopic coments.

Point is, people are quite literally just yelling at clouds because the reality does not allign with their idea of “warrior culture” and what this game should be. Again, if anyone dislikes the anime stuff thats perfectly fine, but some of these people go beyond spouting nonsense.

And I just find it entertaining to attack those positions.

Not gonna lie, at this point Gaijin probably should add another “stage” to the “Show content in the battle” setting that just disables all camos, decals and decorators except for:

  • Basic camos (autumn/desert/winter/whatever)
  • Very basic decals (flags/roundels/digits/victory marks/squadron markers)
  • Military equipment decorators (guns/helmets/bushes)

One tier should be various military camouflages that actually look realistic and fit for battle.
Another tier should contain all the anime and flashy color nonsense.

Would that be different from hiding fictional? Is there anything specific that you had in mind that your concept would hide? I’m trying to think of a specific example but can’t think of one right now. Could you take a screen shot of one that you had in mind?

Like they grouped historical and semi historical recently, would bringing that distinction back be similar/same to what you are thinking?

Most of the “Special” category of decals should be hidden by that setting, currently dozens of event based decals (Spot the Ball, Summer/Winter, Game Updates, etc) aren’t tagged as fictional.
For decorations such a setting should hide these categories: Hats, Shields, Road Signs, (most of) Others
For camos this setting should hide all non-standard camos (so everything that’s from events and/or the marketplace)

Basically a purist filter

It says a lot that the main response to criticism of this development is deflection. Instead of addressing the real issues with these overpriced, low-quality packs and developments, the discussion, somewhat hilariously, is focused more around player views towards anime. WT forum discussion manage to turn players largely against each other, instead of united against the true cause of problems.

I think this phenomenon is caused by player interaction with each other primarily for debate and personal expression, rather than for effecting change. Gaijin doesn’t engage with the playerbase half as much as they should. They dismiss or ignore important bug reports, neglect the community, and are motivated only by greed. They don’t engage meaningfully in discussion with players, and so the playerbase is forced to talk only with itself, causing internal conflict. Naturally, players like to have meaningful discussion, but Gaijin seldom responds. It is like the meme of a person talking to a brick wall. This means much of player frustration (or just desire for discussion) is deflected amongst ourselves.

Somewhat off topic: Interestingly, this is similar to the mechanics of larger, real-world socioeconomic systems, in which the people are goaded into fighting each other by the ruling class; the latter then exploiting the former. It’s pretty easy to draw parallels and apply similar ideas.

The basic facts (the situation) and topic of discussion are influenced by Gaijin. They are easily able to manipulate player views, cause intra-playerbase division and distrust, and earn millions while doing so. It’s not certain if they are doing this. But on countless occasions, Gaijin’s statements and actions show ignorance bordering malice. The top tier meta is a major example: instead of introducing similarly powerful vehicles to most nations in the same update, Gaijin adds OP vehicles to a few, inflaming the fire of perceived targeted mistreatment, and making players have grudges against those of different factions. Strategic provocation of players is present in much of what Gaijin does, and the players are the ones who suffer for it.

Ahhhh so I’m assuming that those examples without the fictional tag still show up in Simulator battles? (I am not a Sim player, if anyone who is a Sim player wants to chime in here.) That would make sense then. I suppose they should tag those types of examples as fictional anyway. With or without your concept.

IF those examples already do NOT show up in Sim battles, then your concept would allow players in Arcade/Realistic to have the same “Sim Experience” with regards to decorations, decals, camos etc.

Like you described it:

I mean we have this in game so of course if you have all marked as "Any plus the decals " you can see all different types of skins etc as show in the image I provided and of course if you don’t like the anime skins and decals you can turn it to “any except fictional” in whatever game mode and you won’t see them !

Most of us know that these settings exist, but the point that I was trying to make is that

  1. a lot of things that should be marked as fictional aren’t marked as fictional and
  2. for the people that want a more purist experience, those filters aren’t strict enough

Currently even with the these settings set to “any except fictional” you still tend to see tanks (and ships) plastered with unrealistic decorators and decals and planes covered with unrealistic decals

If you want to see a more in detail filter for skins etc may I recommend putting an Suggestion in with a full detail of how it would work and be implemented etc.
Hopefully this could help answer some of your complaints you have with the current filter !

The issue there is there’s a growing number of things with no tag (neither fictional, historical nor otherwise). If there’s no tag, it’s treated as historical by default by the filter that our settings controls. Some of those untagged things are pretty fictional.
