Here’s a literal Body Pillow.

Here’s topless B-29 art.

Literally all of this man’s reply is proving you wrong, too. The only reason you don’t see pinup art on aircraft anymore is that it’s outright banned in most air forces because modern jets have expensive, special paint jobs.

Some people implying modern soldiers arent heavy memers is laughable

Well i also think about that, that`s why i ask)

Dont know why Gaijin chose such a bad time to make that event. Its like their management doesnt know about their marketing

for real. Soldiers are literally 90% young guys wdym they arent weebs? Its like saying that water isnt wet

i do believe its not the reason. Mostly its because there are no war they are participating in, so no need or no cause to let soldiers have fun on the frontlines. Most of the pinups come from the most active squadrons which participated in frontline operations, most of those who were close to the “homeland” were stricter with that.

there is the saying in russia: “Farther from high command - motley the uniform”, meaning that most of the un-issued non-regulation comes from the fartherst frontlines

Yes, this one same photo of a body pillow.

You know 99% of all the pin-ups in game are modelled after real pin-ups? None of the body pillows are. If Gaijin wanted to be accurate we would have this specific body pillow and nothing else.

So your historical point goes out the window when Gaijin don’t even base it on the real one.

eh… no? Its closely to 50/50. Most of the decals ingame are semi-historical or straight up made up, including pinups.

Wait so jiggle tiddies in swimsuits would be ok if they were based off real person?

Also… why is that even a point? You never specified that in the first place)
You must understand that pinups we have ingame are mostly the creations of the pilots, BUT MOST OF IRL PINUPS were just re-draws of the Playboy magazine girls. So your point is exactly wrong here - we have REAL pinups based on only those pinups which arent under some copyrights, and most of the nowadays anime girl drawings on techs are under copyrights (stickers inside the tank are straight up IPs, the Yukari drawing is also an IP, ect ect ect). Same goes for that Dakimakura. And then we have nearly half of the pinups ingame that are made up by Gaijin.

its stupid to expect those decals or dcorators which fall under the copyrights. Tho if we someday will see a GuP-WT collab, i certainly expect to see that exact decal with Yukari.

In the US military, they are outright banned because they compromise the stealth paint coating applied to even the F-16.

Its not like F-16s a stealth plane tho, and we know many different paint jobs of the F16s that certainly arent stealth paint as they feature many different colors and drawings

They’ll use that one pillow to excuse adding skins based off of 2d characters. With lore included.

You say it like its bad thing.

I highly suggest you look into how much the US’s stealth coating reduces the radar cross section of an F-16.

Yep. It’s their only excuse. It’s been copy-pasted like 3 dozen times here.

You could just accept being wrong. WW2 aircraft had naked women on them. Get over it.

Are you going to have that same attitude with the Creator Decals or the made-up barrel text? What’s next, do we need to remove the ability to put those real pinups on vehicles that didn’t have them? How about we make it so that you can’t place those pinups anywhere but where they actually were on the exact vehicle/plane?

God forbid, do I need to ask my military friends stationed overseas on SEPv3 to put a row of body pillows for you to get over it?

Cool. This is a video game. Clearly we’re not going to have that. Get over it.

You seem to forget you’re the one objecting to this.

But be my guest, this setting exists. Use it.

It’s actually hilarious that you’re in a weeb’s Squadron having a tantrum about 3 reskinned SFW Anime vehicles.

This isn’t even immersion-breaking. It just looks like someone slapped on some parade paint.

The only actual problem here is that you don’t even get unique voicelines for paying 70 dollars.

Not quite true.

The US introduced very strict rules on artwork many years ago, primarily to reduce the proliferation of the more risqué forms, although the further away ftom home the units were based the more they seemed to circumvent this.

The latest stealth paints almost led to a full ban but there was strong backlash as it meant anything not "factory applied’ would be illegal. The USN apparently was particularly fervent in its defence of tail art and CAG markings and the ruling was changed to only authorised paints could be used, hence they are now mostly grey on grey and far less common. Its rare outside of unit markings nowsdays, but at least one F-22 had art, and a F-35 sported mission markings.
