Sholef V1. Should be looked at again

The current state of the Sholef V1 we see in the game is just a sad version of what it is in real life.

In game, it misses a two-plane stabilizer which it has access to in real life and that would allow it to direct-fire on the move like most of the MBT’s in game can.

Also, in real life, the Sholef V1 weighs 45 tons instead of the 60 tons we see in the game and the engine we see mounted in the Sholef V1 is the AVDS 9AR 1790, which shows in game that it has an output of 900HP even though in reality it could put out 1200HP and make the vehicle capable of driving 60KPH instead of the 54KPH it can go in game.

We also see the Sholef V1 in game having -3/+60 degrees of gun depression/elevation, even though most sources say it has a total of -5/+70.

I feel like if these changes were addressed, they could turn the Sholef V1 into a cool and unique vehicle instead of the stale and boring, mediocre alternative it is to the other SPH’s in the 7.0-7.7 BR range, and if these changes were implemented they could also increase the BR to something more appropriate allowing it to properly fit into line-ups instead of it sharing its BR with a single sad SPAA, But what do you guys think?

Gaijin love chart:

  • USA: 9/10
  • USSR: 37/10
  • Germany: 7/10
  • Britain: 3/10
  • Japan: idk
  • China: caters to their complaints but hates the tree
  • Italy: -8/10
  • France: 2/10
  • Sweden: 3/10
  • Israel: -198584755/10

as we can see, it’s clear why the sholef is bugged as fuck

This is false. The original suggestion maker was mistaken, and later admitted to it, if that’s where you’re getting your information from.

No bug report has been made for this yet. If you believe this is incorrect ingame, please use your appropriate sources to make a report, I highly encourage it.

Anyway, now I’d like to go into more detail myself, as I feel you didn’t (and attach proper bug reports for support). There’s plenty more wrong with it, and it pains me heavily to see gaijin ignoring it so blatantly so it doesn’t move up in BR (where it’s useless anyway, don’t see their problem). The current issues with the Sholef are as follows:

1: It’s missing a Laser Rangefinder. One is literally mounted externally on the barrel of the tank, but I guess the devs lack eyes huh. No bug report was made since we’re unaware of the model.

2: It’s missing ESS. No clue why, gaijin must have overlooked this.

3: As you pointed out, it’s 15 entire tons overweight, an extreme issue. My lore for this is this took the missing 15 tons from the Mk.4s and slapped it on the Sholef lmao.

4: The gunner sight magnification is incorrect. It’s been copy pasted from the M109, but it should be that of the Merkava Mk.1s. The changes would be from 3.8x-4.0x to 7.2x-8.0x.

5: Lastly, to offer my 2 cents on the stabilizer issue, I’m torn. Although there logically wouldn’t be any reason to advertise the platform as capable of “fire on the move”, but after reconsidering it over 2 years with gaijin on how this is all too vague. If it had a stabilizer, surely they’d just say so. It could also just be a misinterpretation of the ability for a SPH to reposition, but that doesn’t make a whole lotta sense either. Either way without sources, we ain’t getting it fixed sadly.

Surprised Gaijin hasn’t implemented this nerf yet.

I suppose some of the info I found was wrong, although thanks for going into more detail about it.
