320kg war head is pretty unrealistic, IRL it’s more like a 160kg warhead, but because in TNT equivalence this may be say 200-250kg equivalent. 70 is tiny for 600kg missile, especially considering that means a 50kg explosive mass which would be way too small.

there are a fair amount of pictures of the PL-12AE from when it was exhibited, there just weren´t any placard´s for it, that stated anything but its name

Nice try

“Chinese missile testing standard” doesnt seem to apply to the PL-12 apperently, kinda silly

yes, apperently gajin has their own standard called fly at 30km up at max speed and release it at a target doing the same

tbh i am kinda waiting for gajin to put the final nail in the coffin and increase its weight by 16kg

and, it would be perfect if you could remove the PL-12 from the J-15, just like in early dev. The PL-12A is better than the 12,

Again, that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. It’s just unfortunate that it wasn’t documented properly.

Agree, J10C and J15T and the other Chinese 4 gen fighter never equip PL12 yet, they only equip PL12A and PL15 in public display

PL-12A has never been spotted my guy

Chinese jets never needed this “PL-12A” because they were simply replaced by the PL-15 ages ago, it’s only in war thunder that we still have this need for things to somehow be an upgrade but just small enough to still make it into the game

i do wonder, has anyone tested if the sd10 can achieve the range spesified in the document? using the chinese missile standards?

True
The PL12AE made its public debut several years after the PL15 entered service, and it is believed to be designed as a low-cost alternative to the PL15E. While there is still no public evidence confirming the existence of the PL12A, and given the PL15’s historically strong performance (Gaijin:???), introducing it prematurely would be unwise. Therefore, incorporating new types of ammunition is essential.Whether the PL12A or PL12AE

Are there any documents describing the weight of WS-10/10A engines?

I tested it in StatShark, and it works.

Are there any photos of J-15S on a carrier?

After messing around with the J-15T for a few ground games, I feel like the KD-88 is somewhat limiting compared to the Kh-29Ts

It won’t track lock until ~10km on a tank sized target, sometimes has trouble firing point lock beyond 10km, has a mach 1 release speed, AND it will cruise at several hundred meter altitude: which is high enough that top tier SPAA can shoot down the missiles easily.

Since you only get four of these really mediocre missiles, can we start getting LOAL or man in the loop systems implemented, ESPECIALLY since these are supposed to be top tier munitions for Chinese CAS??

I had similar things happening with Spice 250s and AGM-65Ds yesterday.

Did you also test Kh29 after the update? Because I’m curious if it’s a KD88 issue or a FnF munition in general issue.

At present, the performance of the J15T in the game is very poor. Unless the WS10B engine and PL12A are restored to their real-life levels, it is completely not worth staying at 14.7. Moreover, the manipulations Gaijin made to it can directly affect the in-game strength of the subsequent J16 and J11D. I think this is something that deserves serious attention.

I agree, it is really hard to imagine a missile with 180km range can only lock on targets within 10km, this is absolutely nonsense
