would have to rework the entire tail section in the 3D model since the J-11 and J-15 uses completely different tail sections
seems like theres enough space on J15 for them theyd probably just need to mount them further up on the tail
there isnt
the J-11 tail is a lot thicker than the J-15 tail
Tail section of naval Flankers is very different internally. Otherwise China would already do something like that. First batches of Su-27 also came with 48 countermeasures, but then were expanded, hovewer this was never done to Su-33 even during modernisation.
well irl it doesnt use them cause it has ECM from what i heard so it doesnt require them if they wanted more they probably could have added more if they wanted too its not like it all needs to be in the tail anyway
wonder how long gaijin will take for that
probably not for a while with the spaghetti code we have
well atleast we got ESM
Every single Flanker has ECM, and yet regular Su-27 grew from 48 to 96 charges. You really think naval Flankers wouldn’t get the upgrade if they had the chance?
The twin pylons for 35S are something that can be attached or detached… the countermeasures on J-15 are well… fixed in place with their configuration…
naval flankers have a different tail for the landing equipment
“Regular” Su-27s had 96 countermeasures long before Su-27K even existed.

could be rwr too
its some sort of sensor
iirc its just reinforcement for the catobar stuff

EW pods wonder if they have any that hold flares
Not necessarily true, Su-27 recieved wide tail with 96 countermeasures starting with series 19 airframes. T-10K1 finished construction in 1987
Not sure whether its been mentioned yet; canopy is now tinted
