His reply seems to imply that in the game, the PL-12A will only increase weight, but not the total impulse of the missile.

His reply seems to indicate that he does not know what he is talking about. Or that china somehow managed to regress in missile tech and make the motor more inefficient.

Thatโs because first bug reporter only closed comments or something, added a tag and the second bug report manager was the one that actually commented.
Or the first bug report manager just deleted their comment so that only 2s shows up

The devs seem to believe this when it comes to the AIM-54C, so I am not surprised. They will likely hinder the PL-12A similarly.

all things considered, what is the actual difference vs pl12 and pl12a? anything other than gnss?
no gimbal limit at the moment. if your radar has some sort of lock, you can launch.
Not sure if anyone has already brought this up yet but the pylons for the PL-12s and PL-12As are still messed up. They use the wrong ejectors for both the J-15T and J-11B iirc.
The dual mounting for the PL-12A however is correct funny enough
