Shenyang J-11, J-16, J-15, History, Performance & Discussion

Although they are already in trouble with the fact that the SU-30MKK has better air-to-ground capacity (x6 KH-29TD) than the J-15T and J-11B.

“we do not plan to add premium vehicles that have a maximum Battle Rating and the best combat abilities to the game.”.

So I would prefer to be given KH-29TD in case they ruin the Chinese A2G missiles.

The J-15T seems to have excellent development progress? Well then, time to talk about its RWR. The J-15T incorporates a conformal antenna design similar to the F-35’s, so it should possess a ±90-degree detection range.

I’m willing to bet it’ll get the same rwr as the j7e

So sad.

i guess,it will copy by the j10s rwr.still ±45°

When the J-20 comes to the game, Gaijin will still give it KJ8602A RWR.

of course j36 too

190kg warhead

I wanted to reply by saying that the information is difficult to source, given that the naval versions are longer and heavier, hence the 190kg weight of the warhead and the advantage of having a naval platform for heavier missiles (YJ-83 = C-802A for boat/ YJ-83K = C-802 for aéronef). But while searching for information on the KD-88 and its export version used by Pakistan on their JF-17s, I came across this.

I have other sources telling me that the KD-88 and YJ-83K have a warhead of 165 kg. Research is needed to ensure that the export models are identical to the domestic versions, or that they contain additional explosives

This one is from the expo Catalogue,

Also CM802B is basically the same weight, can be carried by aircraft so the weight is kind plausible but yeah domestic may be different tho i wouldnt think it would have a smaller warhead
EDIT:looks like has different bodys, maybe boosters for naval launch where on air it doesnt need, reduces around 300kg of overall weight

How to explain to manager that MAWS is a thing?

Screenshot_20260225_023620_Chrome

due to low countermeasures, being able to use the dircm functionality of the targeting pod that both j10 and j15 can use, would help alot

irst being more useless now.

If you mean the irst launcher/missile then gayjin just needs to fix it so that dircm count as a flare, so that iog/dl would overwrite the target path and ignore dircm. Dircm in real life is not nearly as op as it is currently ingame

so… is that amount of countermeasures on the J-15 seriously it or is gaijin ignoring a countermeasure pod existing?

Or is it just a victim of no ECM pods being in game.

Im not a china main but that thing looks like no matter what missiles its given its gonna suck from being unable to defend from missiles, especially when MAW eats them all up

yeah…

1 missile at a time right ? for the ldircm

Its a victim of no ECM and no Dircm for planes

had a feeling it would be.

yes, In real life, Dircm can only counter 1 missile at a time (of course it can cycle between missiles, but then a earlier missile might relock in time)

It also should suffer from a limited coverage area( russian cant aim upwards at all, so can’t lazer missiles that loft or is just slighty above the nose)

It can also not defeat aim9m missiles, since the laser is considered a flare ( Ircm consider it a abnormal heat source ) and would trigger iog (of course the heli could then just dodge)

It can also not defeat irst and other ir missiles with data link since laser is considered flare and as such would make the missile fall back to data link or if not then iog

countermeasure pod exists for su-33, idk if j-15 has it.
also different calibre sizes for russian (flankers) cms exist but again, idk if the chinese have bought it

IMO it can get it because gaijin loves technical compatibility and they already gave this thing fake missile racks
