sorry, i shouldve specified the middle double pylon for the j10. never seen it with pl-15s, looks different from the normal double pylon
It was shown only once, but I do believe it can use PL-15 as well.
The double pylon looks different because it most likely had to be narrower for space reasons, meaning that the two rails (as with the R-77 double pylon) had to be offset from each other to provide enough space, otherwise the tail fins might collide - thats atleast my theory.
mainly because the new intake design. J-10A’s adjustable intake is better in high speed, while the DSI intake is better in lower speed and benefits stealth.
with J-11B, PLA no longer need J-10 to do the high speed interceptor job
it is listed in Saturn’s financial report, the part about engine sales, so it’s actually sold
though I can’t find the original report
not the same document.
WS-10 has much better performance at
high attitude and high mach, but the new DSI intake not.
Got it. Thanks ill keep looking
Sorry I was referring to the belly pylon and I can’t say I have have any clue if it’s compatible with the PL-15 as we’ve only ever seen it once with PL-12’s
Would actually be faster if Gaijin does remodel it. The J10A drag is so excessive it is probably slower than M4k RN.
PL-15 and PL-12 shares same pylons
I don’t think there’s another jet at the same tier that has slower acceleration >M1 atm,
it’s like the air gets turned to syrup when you reach M1…
Yeah. IDK but having twice as much transsonic drag as EF is crazy.
Hornets don’t like going into supersonic
That is true. But J-10 should and doesn’t do it very well, it’s drag is like nearly twice of any comparable sized jet.
Also that is partially the engines and not just drag.
Yeah, for the hornet the airframe and engines are made for lower speed and it shows in its supersonic drag and performance
Who?
Ohhhhhh, I remember him.
Why’d he get banned???
think he posted something classified
lmao.
