Yeah but J15s have 48 CMs which sucks, without ECM RN. Also 6+4 vs 10+2 is a massive let down. Also still nothing on what is the specification of this J11B.
I’d imagine it would be J-11B with WS-10A, or else it would be quite ridiculous for it to be 14.0 like in the leak.
Even if they initially don’t give it we have the option to request WS-10A like what happened with the F-15E.

for the Chinese, it is the designation “S” which will designate a two-seater variant for a single-seater aircraft model.

No not ESA, should be similar to F15C radar, although IDK whether it will be 1474 or 1493, cause in theory if it is of similar size to Mech than it is more likely to be 900mm radar, however the fact that it is so much lighter as to needing re balance of the aircraft might suggest it is 700mm radar.
Thats pretty unfortunate to hear. It’ll be a nice radar, but at the same time with the Rafale and the Su-30SM now allegedly coming mech scan radars are starting to be on the backfoot, particularly when gaijin refuses to model even very advanced ones anywhere near correctly. That being said, it’ll still be strong, just unlikely to be the best flanker radar of the update like I originally thought itd be.
Yeah, sounds like next update is really nothing at all for China (if leaks to believe). The, long overdue imo (seriously, why they bothered with J-11A to begin with?..) addition of J-11B is nice as well as PL-8B, but wouldn’t change much

Like late PD radars are still incredibly powerful, F15Es can still be a menace. Same goes for F15C, and compared to F15 J11B should have more missiles as well as better T/W ratio. Should be good for 14.0. PL8B will help as well.
