Shenyang J-11, J-16, J-15, History, Performance & Discussion

hi, do you have enough information to make a suggestion or issue? I think it’s better to submit a issue, like f-4f, to get j-8f buffed

There are too few public materials that can be submitted, so I will try to integrate them as much as possible

the main aim is to add a irccm missile, so it don’t need to be so detailed I think, just post something and let gaijin know it needs a new missile.

No, as the PL8B is one of the main weapons in service, there are too few reports on it in both magazines and copywriting

only some proof of this would be enough I think

J-7G can take the place of J-8F. It should be fine at 11.7

Are you sure about that? I think I saw somewhere that it had 2 element seeker

It’s PL-8A I think

Yeah one key point in my opinion is getting an IRCCM indigenous missile for China, I think it’s about time.

Here’s one source.

If anyone has one of Andreas Rupprecht books, I’m sure he has information on the missile.

What is the name of this book

Should be “Red dragon Flankers” but he has published other books in which the PL-8B could be found…

PiLi-8 Short-Range Air-to-Air Missile - SinoDefence.com (archive.org)

Is 20km Range only possible at high altitude?

j7g would be a deadly little fighter, especially with better missiles and engine, for now I think mig21bison takes the new role as most modern mig 21

His books primarily use public information and sources, as far as I’m concerned his books are tertiary information. It’s well supported, but not always accurate.

I think it was actually funny how when J8F first came out it had no all aspect, with HMD.

Gaijin only uses public information and sources… technically it fits.

I mean he uses little to no primary documentation, just collections of data from websites or other books, also what people share on online forums via their word. If there are other sources he may have kept hidden it is possible some information is more reliable than others but without listing his sources it is essentially tertiary information and is hardly usable for bug reporting.
