U mean missile with the largest overall drag force?
It’s not comparable to the new Aim-120 and R77-1. One has insanely low drag and one has insanely high acceleration.

I think the SD-10 is better, and if I remember correctly, I’ve also come across some analyses on the forum suggesting that it’s better.

Whether you think so is pretty meaningless, we have info that they are almost completely the same missiles in game besides some useless statcard differences.

IRL the difference between the SD-10 and the SD-10(A)/PL-12 is mostly only length and top speed iirc
ingame the missile is also called SD-10A and PL-12 so uhh idk what da point is here

I’m not going to get into an argument over this. I’ve used both missiles, and in my experience, the SD-10 is miles better than both the PL-12 and PL-12A.
I’ve launched them at Mach 2 and they still failed. I’ve tried at Mach 1 too. I can understand notching working to a certain extent, but I’ve kept the datalink active until the last 5 seconds and the missile still doesn’t do jack shit.
No matter what I try, the PL-12 and PL-12A just don’t work.
consult da sheet if in doubt but, since the PL-12´s havent been touched they should be accurate for now just dont trust the amraams as that sheet doesnt get updated until the changes are live i think

If those stats are correct, then the PL-12A is modeled incorrectly in the game. If the in-game stats are correct, then your data is wrong, dude.

My guy, the stats from that sheet are literally datamined from the game files…
to make things clear since there seems some confusion
SD-10: not ingame, predecessor of the SD-10A/PL-12
SD-10A/PL-12: the one we know, same missile
PL-12A: should be called PL-12AE and is a marketed upgrade of the PL-12 family

Well, these are close to my last J-16 reports for now. I only really had time to go over the MiG-35 and J-16 (primarly J-16) this dev server. I’ll skim over secondary sources etc. later to see if there’s anything historical that may be reportable but I seriously doubt it.

i was thinking about to report that it uses the wrong HMD alltogether now that we got a proper chinese HMD for the JH-7, J11 and J15

I do really hope they switch it, and it has already been reported. But if they want to keep the TARGO for now to give the J-10C and J-16 a more “modern” feeling HMD the least they can do is fix the issues it has. Accurate units and a box for locks would be a good start, and take 5 minutes to implement.
