Shenyang J-11, J-16, J-15, History, Performance & Discussion

I tested it in StatShark, and it works.

Are there any photos of J-15S on a carrier?

After messing around with the J-15T for a few ground games, I feel like the KD-88 is somewhat limiting compared to the Kh-29Ts

It won’t track lock until ~10km on a tank sized target, sometimes has trouble firing point lock beyond 10km, has a mach 1 release speed, AND it will cruise at several hundred meter altitude: which is high enough that top tier SPAA can shoot down the missiles easily.

Since you only get four of these really mediocre missiles, can we start getting LOAL or man in the loop systems implemented, ESPECIALLY since these are supposed to be top tier munitions for Chinese CAS??

I had similar things happening with Spice 250s and AGM-65Ds yesterday.

Did you also test Kh29 after the update? Because I’m curious if it’s a KD88 issue or a FnF munition in general issue.

At present, the performance of the J15T in the game is very poor. Unless the WS10B engine and PL12A are restored to their real-life levels, it is completely not worth staying at 14.7. Moreover, the manipulations Gaijin made to it can directly affect the in-game strength of the subsequent J16 and J11D. I think this is something that deserves serious attention.

I agree, it is really hard to imagine a missile with 180km range can only lock on targets within 10km, this is absolutely nonsense

well kh29t cant track until 6km on a tank tho ive gotten track locks on pantsirs and other buses around 10km

Gaijin put the PL8 missile on the wingtip PF10 pylon. Even they’re confused…

That’s the standard pl12 too for some reason.

every pylon used on a chinese plane is the pl-10 pylon lol
and its not like the pl-10 is in game anyways so it changes nothing

In game, the J-15T holds the PL8 on the PF8 pylon wingtip. PF-10 pylons can’t hold PL8 which makes it historically inaccurate. And technically speaking J-15T hasn’t been seen with PF8 pylons so idk what Gaijin is gonna do when PL10 gets added. Add a J-15T (late) or just move it up in br lol

they’ll just give it the PL-10 and move it accordingly

48 countermeasure facing iir missiles will be hilarious

Simply run 48 chaff and then stay all the way back and crash if someone fires an ir missile at you

MiG-35 and Su-57 looking from the corner be like:

Anyone know if the j15t could recieve RVV-SD (r77-1)? That one change would probably make this more enjoyable having 4 extra fox 3s and could open more export munitions aswell

no china doesnt use RU missile´s on their own indigenous plane´s, you gotta wait for the SU-35

But kh29 on j11b? Or RVV on j11a?

afaik the A2G on the 11B (tho they did apperently test alot on it) is made up, RVV was used on 11A iirc

China does have RVV-SD for su35s but they probably aren’t integrated.
