i remember having a talk with you where you told me its possible that the su33 get a chaff pod.

is it possible to get it now ?

could be great to have 48 flares and a pod with chaff

yeah it can get a chaff pod.
but the problem is that it takes up a radar missile pylon.
so you choose between missiles or extra chaff

If its technically compatible, why not. We have absurd loadouts on some planes for balance might as well go full send on these things.

if only BOL wasnt so heavily nerfed…

still worth it tbh.

sacriface 1 missile to be able to use all other at full bvr potential is great trade

From the J-11B and onwards, Sino Flankers ditched the wingtip ECM pods because they had a lot of upgrades to their internal ECM. J-15T in particular is the newest Flanker derivative to enter service for China (even newer than J-16!) and it has a lot of its avionics systems based on the cancelled J-11D fighter, which is probably the most advanced Flanker variant ever conceived. In this regard, it relies more on its ECM capability and datalink from friendly AWACS rather than countermeasures outright to decoy missiles. Unfortunately in WT, ECM doesn’t really exist yet. And there isn’t teaming in terms of datalink between other jets…

Apparently Gaijin is looking into an way to increase the countermeasures count for the J-15T. The reasoning they give is that on the J-10C, the countermeasures appear to be of different sizes, and some reports indicate that it may be possible to “swap out” the dispensers on the jets.

So we could end up with x96 small caliber countermeasures on the J-15T… Or apparently, Gaijin said that the Sino small caliber dispensers can still equal the Soviet/Russian large calibers one as they are actually still pretty big, so the best case scenario would be 96 large caliber ones. Both of these solutions are better than what we have rn, though.

I hope the change goes through because this is the most promising addition to the Chinese top tier air tree since the J-10A was added. By all accounts, it looks really competitive in terms of the airframe and systems… Now, it’s up to how much better the PL-12A is, and whether Gaijin does increase CM count.

You cant, read from Chengdu J-10, History, Performance & Discussion - #2311 by genises1o

Bvvd did say sth about more flares, like 48 large for 96 small.

Just need a source on YINGSIII.

Give the 3rd dispenser🙏🏻

300+ countermeasure on flanker family

gg lets go

welp, so much for being hyped about the thrust, guess I’m not gonna bother researching it

whats the weight of j15t? on dev a friend told me its 18.3t, I dont know if thats true or false because I dont want to work for free for Gaishit, so Im not downloading it so far

18.3 and it’s ok, irl it could weight even more

They copy and paste the exact same curve as WS-10A, just increased the static thrust lmaoooo

Peak laziness

danm, I thought it would be something near 17.5, had already seen an article about it a long time ago

so it’s a complete waste of time then

Its only the first dev, but since we’re talking about gaishit, its really unpredictable whats going to happen

17.5 is for basic J-15, not CATOBAR J-15T

understood, thank you for the clarification

I’d really like to see what source they find for this. Probably out of their ass.
