Only thing is, KH29TE has a seeker which struggles to do anything past 10km, to bring more guided bombs u need to abandon 1 KH29TE which is annoying. 500kg on the PL8 pylons are nice.
One thing though, I can’t use the pod RN, it appears to me that it has like 20k EDPI and I just can’t do anything. Just me?

Why??? Is it that hard to just implement J-8F or maybe J-10-styled radar as placeholder?

Yeah it’s just such a waste, they still haven’t fix the radar, I’m pretty curious how it performs compared to Su-30SM.
RN, quite nice, but with this, I have to say the radar lets it down RN. I think it will be similar. Actually the KH29s and Guided bombs make it better at CAS than Su27SM.

IDK which pylons can carry them though, cause I would still take KH29 over it if it is faster. IF they are on GB500 pylons though… that is a different matter, every day of the week.
The radar is still unfixed and the bug reports seem to be lacking info. Is there any primary sources on the radar? How did they find information on the type 1473?
Yeah if it keep like this, this thing will be DOA again, and it’s pretty bullshit to have a Fox 3 that as capable as AMRAAM and yet with shitty Radar like N001
from memory the C-704s are around 400 kg, so it remains possible to have them on the PL8 pylons but it would be necessary to find sources that the J11B uses them well, the J10A/B/C pulls it and now the J11B has KH29 so I don’t see the problem for it to be able to pull C-704.
the C-704 is subsonic mach 0.9 at the maximum but has a more evolved seeker than the KH29TE

For 1473 it is essentially a copy-paste MiG-29SMT Zhuk with slightly shorter range ingame.
For 1493 I would imagine it would at least not be worse than the preceding 1492, or else it would be ridiculous.
among all the sources that I put find the 1493 and a range of about 150 km but no real change with the 1492 of the J8F, just an enlarged range
