Severe damage not counted as kill?

I just had a 4 kill game where I did severe damage to a fifth plane and it didn’t count towards my kill count. I shot him to bits while he was landed on the runway. I wasn’t camping, he ran and I chased. He lost tail and engine was on fire and I pulled up from my dive because I got the severe damage. He then repaired and left the match. Does severe damage not count if the target gets plane repaired? Replay ID is Gaijin Entertainment - Single Sign On

if the enemy plane repairs you only get credited for severe damage, not a kill.

If I had known I would have flown into the ground turning him into Swiss cheese just to make sure XD
