Yeah i get that. but they have not stated that this specifik one is a DDOS have they?
and it is more concerning if the attackers are purposefully targeting the Authentication servers and not the others.

‘‘server attack’’ not a ‘‘security breach’’. They would absolutely be informing about a security breach in a different way than making a news blog for ddos attack compensation.

you do know that those are not mutually exclusive right?
Gaijin could deal with the downed servers and inform about that first and then later go through and check if anything was taken/copied and inform everyone of that separately.
It’s very much still ongoing since several people still cant get in and those who do can’t access things like the shop or the battle pass and other things.
I even have trouble posting here still as it states “you have to play first to be able to comment” every once in a while.
And AGAIN they have not stated DDOS attack yet. we don’t know what type of attack it is/was.
Despite the assurance that the connection issue was resolved, I’m still unable to connect properly. I can’t join any matches or even access the game hangar. The compensation offered feels insignificant compared to the ongoing troubles. As players, our time during events is limited, considering our other responsibilities like work or study. It’s frustrating that these aspects are often overlooked.

If someone wanted to take personal info, they would do it in a way that would make it hard to detect. Breaking the servers is the opposite of that.
or a way to cover your tracks if its a server that is attacked regularly.
I wouldnt say that. Activating the tech team is sort of the opposite of what you would want.
Also, if they wanted to take logins and stuff, why would they break the server that handles that? Would make it harder to get that info.
its been over 4:30 hours and i still cant even log onto my account… also while your at it could you guys also fix ur potato servers… pretty sure the only reason you guys increased the player count to 16 was to put a Band-Aid on your failing servers… these 16v16 matches are killing top tier.

I still can’t log in, considering it ends at noon tomorrow and I still have 1 task, the +3 hours are not going to help…
I can only do it after 16:00, it doesn’t help at all that they are slightly extending the timeline

you can take the info before wreaking havoc.
My main point is that it is foolish to state things that we can’t know for certain.

Without actually knowing is just wrong. The real answer is " Its probably not a raise for concern but we don’t know for sure until Gaijin states otherwise".
And stating
is also in the same category. the real answer being “It’s probably just another DDOS since that is what it usually is, but we will have to wait for Gaijins official confirmation to know for sure.”
And i argue that i am correct in it being more of a concern that it was specifically the authentication servers that were targeted and not the host servers in general.
For all we know it could be an attempt at a breach and the downtime is Gaijin turning servers/connections off to protect data (however unlikely that is).
I just don’t like people stating things as fact when no one actually knows the whole truth yet.

funny since at the 288’s BR range I’m constantly getting 6v6 with 4 bombers on the german side…

I ak leaning on ddos because of previous history of it and how hackers taking info would normally do it.
