I’ve bought some User generated semi historical/historical skins for vehicles in the last update before “Dance of Dragons” Major and could play with those without issues, but after this Major it seems it’s not possible anymore without enabling “Show content in battles (Realistic Battles)” from “Except fictional” to “Any”.
Is Semi historical camouflages now considered as Fictional during matches or is just the map condition.
The camouflage used as example is the SUB-I-II Fuji Infantry School Regiment which is categorized as Semi historical in the marketplace.
I don’t have that camo, but I tried with three other semi-historical marketplace tank camoes (Lancia Ro, SARC and Pz IV F2). Couldn’t replicate what you’re experiencing, displays as expected with no requirement to toggle to Any like it made you do. Might just be an issue with that one camo.

It seems to be related to the condition to the map.
I don’t see how it could be. You can force any camp and all maps by putting camo selection to No in customization. It can’t be fictional on one map type and not on another. I think you’ve just found a bug with that one camo, I’d do a bug report.

Bump, I’m having the same problem with the M1A2 SEP Abrams with the “Bad Blessing” marketplace semi-historical camo, everytime I try to use it it gives me the same message as OP and switches my camo options to “Any.”
So, I think I know what’s causing this bug, just like OP’s camo at the marketplace, the authenticity tag is marked as “SemiHistorical” But the moment you buy the camo and equip it, the semihistorical tag is missing, automatically defaulting the camo to a “fictional” one. My Bad Blessing camo also has the SemiHistorical authentic tag, but once equipped, it is missing the tag just like OP’s example.
I think the bug could be fixed by reapplying the tag to the camo’s.
