I would love to see the proposed Br.961 with 30 mms, but it was sadly never built.
With their recent track record, I don’t see Gaijin adding planes like this unfortunately.

If we are going to get the Fouga jets, the Fouga 90 could be another option, basically a up armed CM.170
Well yes, indeed. That’s the difficulty with the French air tech tree. Not that it matters anymore, because for the time being, unique WW2 aircrafts are as far removed from Gaijin’s priority as it can get.
Would this be any higher than the LF.III we have?
5.3/5.7 I’d say, similar to the Belgian one.
Probably pretty similar to the UK Seafire Mk.XVII, which is 5.3.
Did the french use german bombs ? That bomb doesn´t look like a british one, looks more like a german 50kg bomb.
It’s possible, there was much post war surplus left in France after the hasty German retreat in 44-45… but it isn’t that simple to adapt a bomb to a foreign rack. Truth be told, I don’t know.
+1
It will be fun watching French mains on other sites have a meltdown with French-operated “C&P” (or we see their true colours)
Honestly as a french main I’m fine with copypaste, it’s better than nothing and stuff like this would be foldered anyway. The seafires had their importance for the Aéronavale historically so it’s only fair we get them
A real french main appreciates having an actual lineup
could get foldered under the Seafire LF3, could get evented, squadron’d or premium’d, either way, I honestly don’t care much for it.
would rather get the other Narval (SO.8000-2) so that rank IV has an french plane to research.
France can actually get a lot of stuff at rank 4: SE.580, NC.1070, CM.170, Br.1050, and some nice modified imports like the B-26N night fighter. Though I don’t know much about the narvals, what is different between the prototypes?
what is different between the prototypes?
that’s the neat part. there is none (that i can tell)
there is the “-1” and “-2” prototypes because those are the two that got made !
(although, fun fact, the “-2” was completed and flown first)
but i would still suggest we get the we get the second one as a researchable (and rename the premium one accordingly) because :
edit : actually, the “-2” prototype might’ve omitted armament for flight testing, hence the faster completion, shame. but that’s also not gonna stop me asking for a researchable Narval
They will not add a variant to a unique premium. Not in a million year. That would make said premium obsolete, and thus, negates any profit from it.
This kind of aircraft is easy to add and would flesh out the tech tree a bit, though since the Belgian Spitfire and the Dutch Sea Fury (another bunch of absurd additions) have been added, I will admit it’s not as useful.
That would make said premium obsolete, and thus, negates any profit from it.
firstly, what “profit” does gaijin even make from the Narval as is? i rarely, if ever, see it in any match.
secondly, the two purchase-cases for the Narval are :
thirdly, gaijin hasn’t delivered on rank IV french planes, which was part of the reason i got mine back in the “vive la france” update.
This kind of aircraft is easy to add and would flesh out the tech tree a bit
so too would a researchable Narval and arguably moreso than a Seafire.
is gaijin likely to do it? probably not, but i would very much apperciate if they did.
Yes, I’ve had the Narval since 2017 as well. Nevertheless. If anyone want to play the Narval, they’ll need to pay for it. And I’m fairly certain that fact is enough to prevent Gaijin from ever adding it to the game for free. It’s not rocket science.
With all that said, I obviously agree with you, I would prefer indigenous designs in priority, and I made plenty of suggestions for it. Still, since the introduction of secondary nations, this does not matter as much.

i understand well enough that gaijin has little interesting in “giving away” the Narval (which they wouldn’t be, it’d be a copy, not a replacement) but as i’ve argued in their " Duplicate Vehicles: Why We Add Them" post
if they “do not want important or unique vehicles outside of the research tree” (quoted verbatim) then there are many vehicles too important or too unique, that they would need to address because they are already behind a paywall, the Narval being just one of them.
Well yes, that’s certainly the case. As mentioned higher in this very thread, the Bloch 151/2 situation is absolutely baffling in that regard. Unfortunately, it’s the way it works.
That said, if the… fortuitous, and mostly desperate return of the “Advance” game mode is anything to go by, we’ll see what the next patch’ll have in store for us. After the cold reception and controversies a couple weeks ago, hopefully they’ll feel the need to come up with more interesting stuff, if only for one single patch.
