Seafire FR 47 and Griffon engine Incorrect Performance Discussion

So basically Gaijin modelled it after Spitfire F.24 VN318. Spitfire mk.24’s were originally fitted with MK.II’s so as not to deviate resources from the production line for Meteors which were deemed to be the more important aircraft.

VN318 was held in RAF reserve so never was upgraded with MK.V’s. Now i know what you’re after ill keep an eye out but I can see them just rejecting it as not a bug because its technically right that the MK.24 could have either MK.II’s or MK.V’s.

Arguably and in my opinion you should be allowed to choose like how germans can choose between 30mm or 20mm on the BF109.

But as I said i’ll keep an eye out because I too would like the MK.V’s.

From what i understand aircraft converted from mk 22 spitfires had hispano mk ii’s and aircraft fresh off the line had hispano mk v’s. Which makes sense because it would be far easier to maintain logistics. Convered aircraft had a PQ serial, while production aircraft have a VN serial. I just need to find a primary source that states that

I’m just going to assume that in the one document “military power” means it’s maximum power and not what “military power” generally means for things like jets, 100% without afterburner or wep

Because 2400HP at just 100% would be comical

Originally Mk 22 and 24 used MK V Hispano’s in game. Until someone made a bug report pointing out the model’s in game were using the MK II. Which is easy to tell by the length of the barrel. If you want Mk V ‘s it would require the wing guns be remodeled to short barrel’s.

can you re-issue this bug report please?

Year later, I wish to ask as well if someone would be so kind and re-issue the bug report?

It is so odd that MB.5 using the same engine has the correct engine power. Consideting how unpopular Seafire FR 47 is, it would be easiest balancing act ever to implement the correct power output to the Seafire it as well.

Would be nice to have a 2350 hp FR 47 in the prominent gap between 5.7 and 7.0 in the UK TT.

As the FR 47 is currently a foldered aircraft, surely it’s a good candidate for a move.
