Yes NE is trash…but that’s exactly the same trash with “fixed” planes and weapons…
Who told people SPAA in this mode aren’t the same BS they are in NE? If anything the previous times the event was on it was exactly the same discussion about SAMs and SPAAs being too strong…Exactly the same with NE.

They haven’t shot at my missiles/rockets/bombs at all so far
only issue is that everything is way too cluttered together with tens of radar pings spamming every second
Not having the F100D even tho seading was one of its main roles is really sad to see.
They can be, a military operation is considered done when the core objective is achieved, or when it fails or bogs down.
I.E desert storm lasted 43 days and was a massive success, russia’s invasion of Ukraine is still ongoing after 4 years.

To be fair, I prefer that history-based events like this are locked to certain aircrafts/armaments so everyone can play in equal(ish) terms. The last event (MiG-15 vs Sabre) I only had the Saber unlocked and it was bone stock, so basically I was a great disadvantage and had zero fun in the 4 games I played.

I literally couldnt play that event as I dont have a single of either.
But still. Why is every single test event the same 2 aircraft without fail.

I think, since it’s a test event, they want players that have a little more experience in jet gameplay. But I could be wrong
Yeah this is sad, it would be nice if they included the MiG-17, MiG-19, F-100 and A-4 Skyhawk, the gameplay would be more dynamic

Let alone aircraft from literally any other nation.
This could be Harrier GR3s and Sea Harriers on the defending team with A-4s, Neshers and maybe SEs on the attacker team.

if this is a sead event where is an actual sead aircraft ie f105g etc
Too effective, they have more accuracy than they could every hope to achieve from a player or IRL
so this is basically NE without anti-rad missiles but with helicopters?
may i ask what is the point of this event other than testing if helicopters are viable in NE? Seems a little archaic to be doing SEAD mode when NE is a much more mature version of that

I think they are just testing the idea of attackers vs defenders again and recycling an old test event because they cant be bothered to do anything new

An “operation” is something that takes place at the operational level (hence the name), which sits in between the tactical level and the strategic level.
In this case you’re talking about an ongoing campaign of SEAD. A continuous task that needs to be carried out repeatedly, like say, cleaning one’s apartment. This is operational in nature rather than tactical because it is not the responsibility of tactical level assets and personnel to oversee the operation; because it’s not limited to a specific terrain feature; and because it has implications for other operations conducted by other forces in the relevant area.
To make an example, if you read about the Battle Of Britain you’ll sometimes find references to “operational tempo” and how it was decisive to the German defeat (crudely summarised, are you damaging your enemy faster than they can replace their losses or not?). The BoB didn’t last for years, but I think you see the analogy, if you’re trying to suppress an enemy system you will keep going until the enemy can no longer repair it or, alternatively, until you can no longer sustain your efforts (Germany in the BoB being the latter).

this gamemode is complete usa main fantasy. F-4e vs a mig21bis that DOESNT even get r60m? Not to mention that s75 seem to be useless
I like this concept but limiting it to f4e with dumb weapons, cobra with atgm/dumb rockets and mig21 hurts replayability a lot. Like 3 battles is enough to basically see anything. Escalation meanwhile has multiple types of threats, wide array of jets and weapons to choose from. And of course different enemies.
Also mig21 sucks vs f4e. 4 missiles vs 8. And buffed dogfight sparrow is miles above r3r. I got easy 5 migs in 1 game. And one of them was in 1v2 dogfight which I was winning after dropping ffars but another third party guy killed me unfortunatelly.
