Why does the Sea Eagle missile have IR + IOG guidance instead of ARH + IOG after the Ninth Wave update?
Is this a bug or an intended change?

I understand that the Hawk 200, which does not have a radar, was given the Sea Eagle with infrared guidance. However, it looks like two different teams worked on the changes to the Hawk 209. One added IR-guided missiles when the aircraft didn’t have a radar, while the other added a radar with a sea-targeting capability.
xD
Iirc. They somehow managed to swap the Seagle back to its original penguin code (right at the start of its dev server it was just a reskinned penguin). No one knows how. I think gunjob has slapped the Devs for us about it
thats why we can Maddog launch them. for the radarless hawk.
Regressions due to some unfortunate merges on the Git repository maybe
At least that looks like it X)
They could be (translate: had to be) Maddog launched on the radarless Hawks already before.
Were there ever IR or IIR guided Sea Eagles? I only know of the radar homing one…
Yeah they were just radar guided.
But I think it’s a bug that reverted it back to how it was in the dev server where it was a copy of the Penguin ASM. I think Gunjob raised the issue internally.
no. closest there is would be the TV guided martels for buccaneer (should also be on sea harriers just as sea eagle should)
Why can they only lock at 2.5 km? That makes them useless.
the version on the non-radar equipped aircraft are bugged at the moment with an “IR” seeker not “ARH”.
On something like the Tornado GR1 they work from dozens of KM away just fine
