Series #1: SB-2500 A1
The Luftwaffe used wide variety of bombs during its service in WWII, many of which are a subject of great interest to history and military enthusiasts. With the multi-purpose nature of military explosives, it was natural that they would also use different explosive materials and fillings in these bombs.
For hardened targets armour piercing bombs with Amatol and Fp60/40 were more common and against naval vessels, Trialen 105 was used. Here, the SB-2500 A1 was used with Trialen 105 due to its higher explosive properties and thus higher damage capability towards ships and high value targets such as merchant ships and military transport vessels.
Many bombs from the German arsenal were used with many of these fillings. According to research by the British post WWII on German arsenals, every bomb from the SC50, 250, 500, 1000, 1800 and 2500 used Trialen 105 as a filling as well as Amatol. Depending on the specific mission and target type, ground crew would load either the standard yellow tip (Amatol) “SCXXXX” or the silhouette of a ship stencilled (Trialen 105) “SCXXXX Trialen”.

Aircraft in game that can use this bomb
He-111 H-6 (1 bomb externally)
He-111 H-16 (1 bomb externally)
He-177 A-5 (2 bombs internally or externally under wing racks)
No the H16 use the SC 2500 which is a general use bomb the SB 2500 A1 is a high capacity bomb build of on pice of cast aluminium, with the filling being extended to the tail (bc the bomb was made ad one piece) making the bomb have greater filling weight of 2000kg instead of 1700kg with the down one down side that the bomb casing is thin
So the 2500kg should fit if not all of them, then the SB2500 should fit since it’s the smallest between the other 2500Kg and it’s dimensions are close to the SC1800 with small differences.
I took another look, actually it appears that it can in theory carry the 2500kg bc as listed the bomb load for short rang is 3000kg which is the maximum load that it can carry
So the bomb load should be even,
2 x SC1000, or
1 x SC 1800, or
1 x SC/SB 2500.
Is it that the maximum of 3,000 kg is achieved by including the additional bombs carried by both wing racks since the biggest caliber bomb that the internal bomb bay can mount is an SC 1800 and/or SC 2000?:
Well, sad it’s not able to carry the 2500kg, but at least if it got added in game it will be a good bomber (since it should be placed at low br bc all it have is a twin 13mm and a sing 1800kg maximum bomb load)
