SAMs are too OP

well it can have up to 96 missiles and its gun can pen tanks too. just watch this and it will probably cover most of the OP weaponry. Battle Pansir - YouTube

96 missiles is a nice number to throw out at large. Nobody brings 96 missiles, it just looks good for the camera. You won’t be killing any aircraft effecientely with them and only intercepting munitions isn’t helpful to the team.

Almost any 30mm with AP can pen tanks in the game, but it’s not the best at it and if you’re doing that, you’re not focusing on your job as Anti-Air

And on the video, yes. Leave it to a youtuber to make a very overrdramatic intro on the Pantsir.

Hi, I bring all the missiles. It is fun to eat helicopter missiles. It saves tanks and leaves the heli doing nothing to contribute.

Oh you do? Well good on you then!

With how quick helicopters come in and out, I always bring a mix, since there is such a short window to engage them. And sometimes, heli agms slip through the clutter

You can launch 8 missiles at different targets at once. Makes it pretty easy to eat 90% of a heli’s salvo, if not all of it. Found finding one then spamming to cycle targets gets all of them picked up through the clutter, and you need to cycle them anyway to get the missiles out on diff targets.

Even if you don’t down aircraft or the heli, you’re still saving your ground targets and making them waste the flight out, taking them away from contributing to the match.

I developed a way to kill SMSV’s if they don’t go for me right away. I know a way that works in 100% of situations, but I won’t tell you.

As CAS, wiping out entire enemy team in single sortie is a massive gamechanger.

As CAS, wiping out few reamining enemies in the end game when theyre short on manpower and cannot properly protect against ground and air threats is also a massive gamechanger.

As CAS, being able to sit in heli with 360° forcefield making you immune against IR based SPAAs while hovering at alt where ARH missiles are useless due to multipath and just rain missiles onto the enemy team is a massive gamechanger.

As SPAA, denying CAS all of these while sitting in single vehicle (ie. You dont have to switch to SACLOS spam against heli and multivehicle one against CAS jets) while retaining some sort of self defense capability is a massive gamechanger.

Unfortunately at top tier
Only maybe three top tier SAMs are able to all of this somewhat effectively
One of them being able to do all of them easily

2 of them are in the same tree

This. Absolutely.

With how much stuff is flying around at every second with sometimes lists of two pages lenght, constantly moving around so much that you cant even click on the thing you actually want to shoot at it is hard enough to keep track in the SPAAs with the best radar (refreshrate and coverage) in top tier. For the ones ive played (IRIS-T, Pantsir SM-SV, BUK, CLAWS, Type03 And Tan-Sam), thats the SAMP-T by far, where you can handle most stuff from third person view and can occasionally hop into radar screen to handle mass launched ordinance. You have the reaction time, the missiles launch and pull enough to deal with stuff thats launched by fastmovers 5 km out, the radars refresh rate is so quick that stuff shows instantly.

What are you doing in a Type 03 or a tan sam? Type 03 has the radar, but the missiles cant hit anything closer than 6 km. Tan sam could but its bugged so hard that the radar is showing ghost targets, or targets when its too late, and then you also have a downtime to switch missiles bc u need to decide between aarh and ir missiles. Even the IRIS-T is problematic bc the refresh rate is horribly slow so targets pop up in 3rd person like 3 seconds too late, or ordinance not popping up at all. And except for Pantsir none of them can do anything vs a LDIRCM equipped heli that knows how to evade and is spamming uncontested from close to the helipad.

To handle getting overwhelmed by cas at top tier theres literally only the SAMP-T and the Pantsir SM-SV (that still struggles getting spoofed by chaff and if you manage to lock with ir then it gets spoofed by flares or simply switching from the target you shot at to something in a completely different postcode, sending your missile to space - But i guess at least thats a downside for being the only Top Tier spaa capable to deal with Jets, Helis and ordinance while having a missile without air resistance or speed loss when maneuvering).

IRIS-T cant deal with helis or ordinance reliably, Type 03 can deal with nothing, Tan sam can only deal with one threat type at once and i guess for the Spaas i dont have yet (Nasams is more like an improved CLAWS, Sky sabre seems decent from facing it, same as HQ11, and Sypder is also useless, ofc, cuz its Israel…) So half the nations have Spaa thats just feeding SP to any cas player that somehow knows what hes doing, of the rest 25% have an spaa that gets hardcountered by a certain threat (mostly helis) and only 25% have SPAA that is semirealiable to at least most threats or can at least target ordinance semi-reliably. Now if that doesnt make for a great game experience at top tier then idk…

And now they added Anti-radiation missiles lowering the reaction time for fixed wing cas to basically 0. No need to look for a target or lock it through the targeting pod, just send a mach jesus missile at any spaa that either forces him to shut down his radar and move, losing all of his awareness and die to any agm, or shoot down your KH31 coming at him at mach 4. Good luck dealing with that and 16 ir agms of a heli all at once in a type 03. I got no idea why they thought “ah lets just buff cas a bit more” while keeping spaas of 80% of all nations in absolutely bugged or incapable af states that honestly make most of them annoying af to play. Not that you can even put them semi-safely anywhere on most of the maps, or that you could move somewhere in the first place where cas wont already know where you are at the moment of spawning. ITS THE SPAWN, where else would spaa be on a 500m² map where the giant launchers get shot from the enemies spawns as soon as they move 100 m out of spawn to not get deleted by gnss or mitl ordinance launched by planes they cant even see?

The game as a whole -and that problem gets increasingly worse the higher in BR you go- is just an avalanche simulator, so while obviously its a bad thing that more and more players are leaving after one or two deaths, it sadly is somewhat understandable…most matches at top tier nowadays are sealed deal 3 minutes in. Theres 0 mechanics in game to somewhat make comebacks possible, but cas, loss of players on the losing side, lost map control and running out of sp, Tickets and thus time, is all running against the team thats already losing. Your main tool to get the enemy team to lose lots of sp, spaa, is cornered in the spawn and incapable to handle even a fraction of the stuff being thrown at its team, so 4 minute matches it is. Apparently thats more and more the direction top tier gameplay is heading to. Lost the first engagement? Enemy team shooting into your spawn from 4 directions and your team lost half its players 2 minutes in? Whats the point of respawning, srsly? I dont like the direction this blatant imbalance is sending the gameplay to, but im also having a hard time blaming people that refuse to play lost matches, i just wonder what i have all those 10 slot lineups for? Just so i have to keep playing long lost matches while teams disappear 90% of the time? Either steamroll or get rolled, nothing in between…My guess is this falls perfectly into gaijins projected gameplay loop of absolute garbage match quality and people bingejoining 20 battles an hour endlessly rushing in, hoping to get into cas first…

Yes, instead they bring most busted missile ever introduced in the game and close down enemy airspace
