Makes no real sense, and the french plane has a better radar.
The french crusader has no RWR, or countermeasures, and only carries 2x Magic-1’s or 2x Matra R530’s. Its radar is fairly useless in practice because you cannot use the Magic-1’s and radar missiles at the same time, and you are never going to want to take the Matra R530’s over the Magic-1’s. The US version gets the pretty solid Aim-9C’s and countermeasures, which mean the US version is just about the best Sarh carrier at the BR. The french version suffers massively because of the lack of countermeasures, and though the Magic-1’s are good, they are still flarable and are not all aspect.

Thay are all the same BR, and are all pretty poor at their jobs, apart from the american one, which still has an airspawn where the rest don’t, which makes it significantly better than the rest at getting bases or climbing to intercept players. Exact same planes, same BR, but the US one just gets a significant advantage none of the rest have.

aim 9c’s are worthless didnt know it had no rwr.
While the French F-8 probably should be 10.3 (Magics are insanely powerful, especially at a BR where 90% of aircraft don’t have countermeasures) the American F-8 still has radar missiles and countermeasures and is definitely superior.
Same story for the M3C, wild that’s still 10.0 especially with the Shahak also the same BR.

lol you will rarely ever get a strong enough lock with the radar, and even less of a chance of getting a missile tone, and that lock kept while firing a aim 9c.
the u.s plane doesn’t have ccip for its guns.
Then use 4x AIM-9D, some of the best IR missiles at the BR.

that isn’t going to work in a uptier or against anything at its tier that somehow all have better missiles if not the same
Look… Another case of skill problem AIM-9C in this BR is one of the best radar missiles (if not the best), the only disadvantage is the fact that it is a pulse missile and not a CW missile, the French F-8E only has an advantage because it is a low BR, otherwise It doesn’t have IRST, the radar is almost useless because nobody uses the R-530 and many planes in this BR have RWR so you would only show your position if you lock someone on the radar, and there are only two R-550, so you have to be very selective in the targets you want to kill, that is if any plane with a missile of more than 20G doesn’t focus on you.

Not sure what you are talking about here, none of the planes mentioned have CCIP for their guns, none of them have EEGS either. All the F-84F’s have CCRP for bombs, including the US one. The french F-8 doesnt have any rockets or bombs at all, and as such doesnt have any CCIP for them, and the US F-8E can carry a small number of rockets, but also doesnt get any bombs and has no CCIP for the rockets it gets.

i think thats a bug, or gaijin being lazy. Its a crusader, or gaijin needs to add the F-8P for france and give it zunis and aim 9-p’s , and probably add the dark grey blue camouflaged skin for it.
The wiki is incorrect then, if you check the vehicles in game, none of them have any CCIP for the guns. All have the short range radar for distance estimation, but this doesnt give any indicator of lead or targeting, and is only really of any use in sim.

Zunis? The ones they removed to get more speed on their crusaders?
AIM-9Ps? The ones the French never operated?
If you took the time to search up “F-8P” and looked around the images a bit you would find they carried the Magic II.
