So I’ve reached the criteria to start the israeli air tree and start playing with the sakeen only for the ball of uselessnes look at me and epically proceed to fly like a bomber and melt it’s engine.
But im feeling that this is something related to me trying to play it like a 109 with a sidedish of sideclimbing, so I ask the 3 other people I saw with an israeli plane to enlighten me on this flying dookie mobile.
How nearly I have no idea I hate that plane lol.
The S-199 is essentially a 109 Gustav with a Jumo 211F inside of it, essentially, a bomber engine. There is no correct way to play this aircraft. It is bad.

Do yourself a favor and the second you’ve researched a different plane, remove the sakeen from your lineup and never look at it ever again. It is such a nothing burger of an aircraft. For its stronger guns you have to research them and they’re mid as hell

Play it like the BF 109. I suggest grind the German line if you hadn’t, but the sakeen is a good plane for its BR. Suggest bomber hunting and BnZ
Its a 109 with a he111 engine essentially, getting any altitude at all is extremely difficult without it overheating
Yes–so it might be better to dive at lower altitude targets and BnZ. Sorry, I have a very special way of doing BnZ.

The sakeen is a very good plane in arcade. Got ace crew on it by now.

I’d say give it a second chance. A very good plane in arcade since the engines don’t melt as much. Shooting at anything below you is good–you should be fairly maneuverable and have good firepower. Note that the Spitfire is very different, so don’t play the Sakeen the way you do with a Spitefire.
Ngl ive given it a fair few chances since it was added and its never worked out for me
Let me tell you a story…
When I first join Warthunder, I grind-ed the BF 109s because they looked cool. But after I got to the Emil variant… I quite and went to Russia. I didn’t know how to play and just mindlessly used them to turn-fight. (Of course you loose) But after learning how to properly BnZ and energy fight… I racked up 3-5 kills with the beast. It’s probably the same for you. Just chill a bit…don’t expect a win…and just see what the plane wants to do.
Ive spaded it and im fully past any point of using it again tbh
its quite good in arcade when spaded with the good guns.
Related to anything else, it is probably the best modeled plane in this game, its as desastrous as it was in real life so kudos to the devs!
